Cheon Sang-hyuk, a charming fairy renowned for his ability to enchant women, endured a tragic event 500 years ago when his wings were scorched. In a quest for wing restoration, he underwent 27 transformative experiences. However, his 28th attempt becomes entangled with the life of Oh Baek-ryun.
Baek-ryun, a striking woman working as a veterinarian in an animal clinic, grapples with a peculiar curse. Men smitten by her charm inevitably face near-death experiences, leading them to abruptly end their relationships. Despite her undeniable allure, Baek Ryun refrains from pursuing romantic entanglements, hoping to cross paths with a man destined to be her true love.

Baek-ryun might not choose anyone so that they won’t fight with each other. However both of the men will accompany her to her home until she gets back safe. The men will start a beef with each other as they’re now into Baek-ryun. Sang-hyuk will start wondering why he is feeling jealous and will soon realise he is into Baek-ryun as well. But he won’t immediately accept his feelings but will slowly figure out when Jae-hee keeps getting in between them.
The search for the killer will proceed while also protecting Baek-ryun as she’s in danger. The killer will find his ways to get closer to Baek-ryun to kill her but thankfully she’ll escape. Sang-hyuk will find more evidence to prove that the 1993 case killer is the same one as the recent one. Jae-hee will also agree to Sang-hyuk’s theory and use his help in discovering the criminal.

In the fifth episode, Sang-hyuk begins to suspect a connection between the 1993 case and the recent murder of Eun-seo. Despite the lack of Eun-seo’s corpse and the successive deaths of all witnesses, Sang-hyuk shares his theory with Jae-hee, who dismisses it as fictional. Undeterred, Sang-hyuk continues his investigation independently, revealing the potential danger surrounding the case.
Simultaneously, Baek-ryun’s feelings for Sang-hyuk intensify, prompting her to pray for him to become her soulmate. While Sang-hyuk acknowledges his growing affection for Baek-ryun, he denies his feelings, fearing a tragic outcome similar to Jeong-ah’s death. In an attempt to spare Baek-ryun from potential harm, Sang-hyuk searches for a partner, but his actions lead to heartbreak when he rejects Baek-ryun’s confession, citing pity as the reason.
As the episode concludes, Jae-hee and Sang-hyuk realize that Baek-ryun is the last witness in Eun-seo’s case and rush to protect her. During her mountain prayer, Baek-ryun is startled, nearly falling off the mountain, but Jae-hee arrives in time to save her. Returning to the police station, they find Sang-hyuk battered, his bruises concealing the true cause. Baek-ryun, unaware of Sang-hyuk’s ordeal, tends to his injuries, sparking jealousy in Jae-hee. The love triangle reaches a pivotal moment as both men ask Baek-ryun to choose between them for the journey home, leaving her in a perplexed state.
