My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 2 Recap
The episode opens with a nostalgic flashback of All Might, reflecting on his younger days and what inspired him to pursue heroism. In a humorous touch, he’s shown singing the Anpanman theme song, hinting that the beloved children’s hero once served as his own role model. The focus then shifts to the present, where Stain arrives just in time to rescue All Might from All For One, joining forces with him in battle. It becomes apparent that Stain now stands with the heroes, as his ideals finally align with their cause.
Before the two can act, All For One unleashes a gruesome move, using his Quirk to drain his own blood and alter his blood type. This clever trick explains how he managed to erase his trail and remain hidden for so long. Despite their efforts, All For One easily overpowers them, brutally defeating All Might. Still, the episode highlights the unbreakable spirit that defines All Might and reminds us why he’s always been the symbol of true heroism.

All For One’s ultimate plan is also revealed; he intends to pass all his Quirks to Tomura Shigaraki, shaping him into an even stronger successor. However, this plan faces a major obstacle: Tomura refuses to be controlled, fighting fiercely against All For One’s dominance. The episode ends with several unforgettable moments, especially one shocking act that All For One commits against All Might.

My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 3 Review

The episode begins in a very profound way, where almost every person in the world prays for All Might’s life. And in the backdrop, we see Bakugo breathing heavily. Right after that, Deku and Bakugo exchange looks, and both start to do their own thing. They literally combined their efforts together for Deku to launch Bakugo at full speed towards All Might.
The fact that Bakugo had blamed himself for All Might all his life finally comes to a conclusion as he becomes the one to take an active part in his safety. This was a deep segment, and even All Might understands the immense growth Bakugo has gone through. However, with Bakugo’s revival, we also had to witness the slow demise of Edgeshot, who literally used his body to heal Bakugo.

The moment between Bakugo and All Might was really one of the best aspects of this episode because it finally showcased how much Bakugo respected All Might and wanted him to acknowledge him. All Might also transfers his gadgets to Bakugo, symbolically giving him the responsibility that he carried all these years. The innocent smile that Bakugo shows after that is what truly touched fans’ hearts.
But All For One is also having other kinds of issues, as he cannot control Shigaraki the way he used to. That is when All For One had to face the much more powerful Bakugo, who is literally out for blood.
Verdict

Today’s episode is undoubtedly one of the best from My Hero Academia ever because of how it was designed from start to finish. The animation completely blew me away with a phenomenal job, especially in the first half. I will definitely suggest everyone watch this episode as soon as possible, at least for the sake of Bakugo, who seems more like a hero than anyone else.
