-My Happy Marriage Episode 11 Review Does Not Contain Any Spoilers-
The new episode is quite different from a few of the recent ones. The plot is more focused on Miyo and her mother’s journey to keep her protected. Moreover, we finally get to know Miyo’s origin story and what circumstances led her to live such a miserable life throughout her childhood. The story is getting more interesting and complex as time passes by.
The story in the episode follows Miyo getting her power back which was sealed away by her mother. Her mother got married into the Saimori family because of the hardships that the Usuba family had been facing at that time so she had no other choice but to sacrifice her life for the community. However, the Saimori family was only after the supernatural power that Usubas possessed and did not care about Miyo’s mother.
Realising that Miyo might get heavily exploited in the future, her mother decided to seal away her supernatural gift. Knowing that Miyo’s love and respect for her mother grew even more. But although she is all-powerful now, she still cannot forget about Kiyoka. Her longing to meet him for one last time, even though it means she has to break all the rules, she is ready to do so.

Apart from a progressive plot, the animation of the episode remains beautiful, as usual. The animation team truly went above and beyond to bring some of the most important sequences to life to its full extent. Additionally, it elevates the storytelling process and provides a perfect visual representation of how the situations transpired. The added vibrant colours, in contrast with a dark background, bring out the intended aesthetic the creators had wanted to showcase.
Moreover, there has been a substantial development with each character, especially Miyo. She is finally accepting her reality and the responsibilities that come with possessing an incredible power. Nevertheless, her love and care for Kudo have not lessened in any way. She still longs to be with him even if she has to disobey her elders, which only proves how strong she has become mentally.
