My Dress-Up Darling Episode 6 Overview
My Dress-Up Darling or Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi Wo Suru in original Japanese is a romance and slice of life anime based on a popular manga written series by Shinichi Fukuda. It is being adapted into the medium of anime by Studio CloverWorks, a studio that hasn’t exactly been having the best time of its existence right about now. The studio has faced immense criticism in just the previous year for its handling of two anime properties, Wonder Egg Priority and The Promised Neverland Season 2.
Keisuke Shinohara is directing the show. He has been directly involved in the productions of various anime series in the past, including Wonder Egg Priority and Devilman: Crybaby. My Dress Up Darling Episode 6 Review- A New Player Enters The Game!
If nothing else, Dress-Up Darling has cemented itself as one of the most adorable and wholesome shows of this entire year, and we haven’t even seen any other seasons apart from this first one. There is a certain charm to it that sets it apart from most others of its kind. The characters here feel like they don’t have a malicious bone in their body. They are filled with sugar, spice, and everything nice to the brim. Who cares if that’s an unrealistic portrayal of humanity and that we are all flawed? Sometimes, it is just nice to look past our weaknesses and enjoy what makes us great, and this show is perfect for that.

This time around, we witness the first meeting between Marin and Gojo’s grandfather, and the confrontation is just as lovely as you can imagine. The show can be really funny at times, and the current episode was the funniest the show has ever been. There was the aspect of Gojo’s grandpa misunderstanding his and Marin’s current relationship, alongside all the circumstances that led to Gojo meeting his second patron.
My Dress up Darling Episode 6 went back a bit to its somewhat immature roots, introducing a new character, Jujo, in a manner that can only be referred to as “unfortunate”. It was a funny scene and one that didn’t detract much from the overall experience of the episode, so it wasn’t as egregious as the delinquency that overtook the show in the second episode. The series has, in general, seen an increase in the quality of storytelling as more episodes have come along.

The new character introduced is Sajuna Inui, and she seems like a fantastic addition to the cast. She is a diminutive, naturally foul-tempered type which contrasts extremely well with Marin’s general excitability and Gojo’s sincerity. She is also someone Marin looks up to. The dynamic between the two is already fantastic, with Marin worshipping the ground Jujo walks on and surprising her with her knowledge and respect for the craft of cosplay. The next half of the series is sure to be an interesting one, now that we have Inui in the mix.
However, the heart and soul of the series is still the relationship dynamic between Marin and Gojo. Things are evolving very quickly, and feelings are being brought into the forefront that the characters are confronted with. It is all very cutesy and lovey-dovey, which is great to experience. The pacing is also fantastic, which means that we are not painstakingly waiting for two shy dumbasses to realise that they have feelings for each other over the course of a hundred episodes. Marin is a fast worker and, combined with the high quality of animation and music, makes for very entertaining television.
Verdict
My Dress-Up Darling Episode 6 was extremely fun to watch and introduced new characters and dynamics that make one very excited for the show’s future. This just keeps getting better every time.
