My Demon Episode 9 Preview: In the 8th episode, Gu-won survives the brutal stab but loses much of his powers. He takes the opportunity to get closer to Do-hee as he regains some of his strength, and she reciprocates her feelings as well. In the end, both of them confess their feelings for each other. Meanwhile, Do-hee realises that her ambition to keep the business under her can cost her Gu-won’s life, and thus, she takes a drastic step in order to protect the people she cares about.

This series (마이 데몬) is directed by Kim Jang-han, and Kwon Da-som and written by Choi Ah-il. Kim Yoo-jung, Song Kang, Lee Sang-yi, and Kim Hae-sook will play lead roles in this series. The show is produced by Lee Jae-woo, Yoon Geon-hee and Ahn Young-in, and the production houses are Studio S and Binge Works.

My Demon now claims the Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot on SBS, succeeding the broadcast previously held by The Escape of the Seven.

We have previously seen Kim Yoo-jung in successful ventures like Love in the Moonlight, Backstreet Rookie, Lovers of the Red Sky, etc., while Song Kang was last seen in dramas like Love Alarm, Sweet Home, Navillera, Nevertheless, etc.

My Demon Plot

My Demon follows the tale of Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung), a formidable heiress whose cynical view of love is upended when she enters a contract marriage with Jung Gu-won (Song Kang), a centuries-old demon accustomed to preying on humans. Do Do-hee’s icy demeanour clash with Jung Gu-won’s disdain for humanity, yet an unexpected twist sees him lose his demonic powers? In a bid to ensure his survival, Jung Gu-won must now protect Do Do-hee, who inadvertently holds the key to his existence.

The South Korean TV series episodes will air from November 24, 2023, to January 13, 2024, and the runtime is expected to be around 50-60 minutes. Episode 9 of the series will air on December 22nd on Netflix at 8:00 PM IST.

In the next episode, we will see Gu-won and Do-hee being absolutely in love. They will spend romantic moments together, but sadly, that might not last. Gu-won is losing powers at a rapid pace, and he might soon turn human. However, what does “turning human” mean for a demon?

In this part of the story, Gu-won is rushed to the hospital for urgent treatment with Bok-gyu and Ga-young by his side. Do-hee, learning of the situation, rushes to the hospital with Seok-hoon. Ga-young blames Do-hee for Gu-won’s condition upon her arrival, and Bok-gyu takes her away. Do-hee, without delay, attempts to revive Gu-won by placing his hand on her tattoo, which is observed by Seok-hoon.

Gu-won wakes up, weak but out of danger, expressing gratitude to Do-hee. Ga-young witnesses their close moment, intensifying her jealousy. Later, Do-hee, accompanied by Seok-hoon, returns to the police station, reflecting on Ga-young’s accusations. That night, Gu-won has a troubling dream of being in a fire.

At the hospital, loyal gangsters visit Gu-won, and Gu-won requests to return to his apartment. That night, Gu-won and Do-hee find comfort in each other’s arms.

The next day, Gu-won accompanies Do-hee to the office, surprising everyone with his survival. During a celebration, Gu-won revisits his fear of fire. Ga-young confronts Do-hee, blaming her for the situation. On their way home, both Do-hee and Gu-won keep silent about the accusations.

That night, Do-hee communicates with Cheon-sook’s spirit and decides to renounce her candidacy and inheritance. Gu-won questions her decision, and Do-hee, to protect him, gives a misleading explanation. Gu-won seeks the truth from Seok-hoon, who reveals that Do-hee is sacrificing herself for his well-being.

In Cheon-sook’s garden, Gu-won confronts Do-hee, who confesses her love, leading to a passionate kiss, marking the confirmation of their feelings for each other.
