My Demon Episode 4 Recap

Do-hee proposes to Gu-won, but he rejects her. Embarassed, Do-hee leaves the funeral, and hilariously, Gu-won follows her to protect her as her guard. In Cheon-sook’s office, her children think of ways to revert her decision of giving everything to Do-hee but come up with no idea. That is when it is revealed that Seok-min had to go to jail in the past when he ran over someone, and he blames his mother for it.

While driving home, Do-hee tries to play off the proposal as something she did on a whim in front of Gu-won to escape the embarrassment. Later, she is visited by Seok-hoon, who tells Do-hee not to put herself in danger and asks about Gu-won. He is clearly unhappy that Do-hee decided to propose to Gu-won as he too, is interested in her romantically.

Later, Do-hee finds out that her proposal to Gu-won has become famous news over the internet, and now everybody knows that she got rejected. She demands to meet Gu-won, and they share some heartfelt moments after some funny interactions, which makes Gu-won care more for her.

At her home, Do-hee goes through the letter left by Cheon-sook where she clarifies why she put the marriage condition in her will. And it is because she wants Do-hee to not feel lonely at the top. Throughout the funeral, we see Gu-won accompanying Do-hee and looking after her from a distance. After that, Gu-won finally remembers about his past and the name Yi-sun. It is hinted that he might have been royalty from the Joseon dynasty. He and his butler conclude that because he is now practically a human, he is slowly remembering everything, and now he might even start to age. After this, Gu-won tries to hold Do-hee’s hands whenever he can to escape such a fate.

My Demon Episode 4 Recap and Review The Demon Is Starting To Care

When Do-hee finds out about his predicament, they agree to hold hands to recharge him, but only at times agreed by Do-hee. This leads to some awkwardly romantic moments when Gu-won tries to search for the killer using his powers. Sadly, he couldn’t utilise his abilities as he did not see the actual face of the killer. We also see the killer getting a text from someone called Abraxas, who tells him to release the hunting dog.

On the other hand, the underlings of the goon, whose soul was taken by Gu-won, try to find him relentlessly, and they get a tip about Gu-won from Do-hee’s killer, pretending to be their waiter. In Cheon-sook’s office, we find the same mysterious figure who was threatened by her. In his flashback, we see Cheon-sook commenting on how the apple does not fall far from the tree, proving a relative had killed her.

Later, Gu-won takes Do-hee to the welcome party where he is invited by his colleagues. Finally, here, he can hold her hands without much hassle. There, when asked why he rejected Do-hee, Gu-won boldly says he likes her, but he won’t marry her because you don’t marry pigs if you like pork. This truly hurts Do-hee, and she storms off after fighting with him. But that is when Gu-won is cornered by the goons and gets beaten by them. Thankfully, Do-hee comes in to save him, and Gu-won defeats all by doing tango with Do-hee. While he was dancing with her, he realised he was falling for her.

My Demon Episode 4 Review

This was another great episode from this series. Now, we will finally see Gu-won falling for Do-hee and be flustered around her. This was needed as we were only seeing how Gu-won was affecting Do-hee but not the other way around. The mystery also keeps becoming more intriguing now that we know that it is most definitely someone from inside who has killed Cheon-sook and is also trying to kill Do-hee.

All in all, I highly recommend this episode, and I am excited to see Gu-won’s journey to discovering love.
