Ms Marvel Episode 6 Review: Power Show off and Not So Normal Mid Credit Scene

Ms Marvel Episode 6 is called No Normal. Directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Fatimah Asghar wrote the 35 minutes episode. Created by Bisha K. Ali, the MCU series stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, Mehwish Hayat as Aisha, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan, Saagar Shaikh as Aamir Khan, Rish Shah as Kamran, Fawad Khan as Hasan, Aramis Knight as Kareem/Red Dagger and Laurel Marsden as Zoe.

The last episode of Ms Marvel is written by Will Dunn, A. C. Bradley and Matthew Chauncey and directed by Adil & Bilall. The episode is 45-minute long. The synopsis reads, “Back in Jersey, Kamala finds Kamran and protects him from Damage Control who will stop at nothing to take him in.”

Ms Marvel Episode 6 Recap/Review Contains All Major Spoilers

In the previous episode, in Pakistan, Najma sacrifices herself to save Kamran. Kamran goes to Bruno and realises he has powers. Kamran accidentally blows up Bruno’s apartment, grabbing Damage Control’s attention. In Ms Marvel Episode 6, Bruno and Kamran are on the run to save themselves from Sadie Deever, the Damage Control officers and her team.

Kamala Khan is back, and her family is delighted to hear she has superpowers. Nakia calls Kamala to tell her about Bruno and Kamran. Kamala Khan wears a new suit stitched by her mother and heads out to save her friends. From the mosque to high school, Bruno and Kamran get help from people to save themselves from the Damage Control people.

The entire climax scene takes place at the high school. Kamala and Kamran get help from Bruno, Nakia, Aamir and Zoe. They all come up with a plan to defeat the officers. Kamran learns that his mother is dead and loses control. There’s a fight between him and Kamala for some time. However, the Damage Control officers attack both of them.

Kamala explains to Kamran that Najma sacrificed herself to make him feel safe. She helps Kamran escape and fights alone. Hundreds of people are watching the fight unfold outside the high school. When Deever tries to get hold of Kamala, all the people form a human shield to protect Kamala. Kamala uses her power and goes away from there. Deever gets suspended as she goes against Cleary’s orders.

The episode ends with Kamala’s father telling his daughter that her name means Wonder or Marvel. It’s a hint that Khan will now call herself Ms Marvel. Later, Bruno tells Kamala that there was some mutation in her genes. Kamala is shocked to hear the information but doesn’t pay much heed to it. The show ends with Kamala having a fun time with her friends.

After the abrupt ending of episode 5, I was concerned about how the makers will bring everything together in Ms Marvel Episode 6. After the disappointing finale of Hawkeye and Moon Knight, I was worried that Marvel would give another confusing finale. However, they took their time and didn’t complicate the last episode.

Kamala got her to fight her first big fight, had a worthy opponent (even if it was just for a minute) and got to show off her power moves. In fact, it’s the first time we saw how a superhero gets their comic book name. The series did add drama in the end when people form a human shield. But that worked well considering we desis love drama.

Iman Vellani has been a delight to watch in the six episodes. I still wish the series was longer because I want to see Kamala explore more of her powers and have fun. Just like Iman, the rest of the cast did a good job and made the entire series worth watching.

There’s an end-credit scene after Ms Marvel finale episode where we finally meet Brie Larson. However, it’s not what you expect. Be ready to get baffled!

Ms Marvel Episode 6 Review: Final Thoughts

Overall, the last episode of Ms Marvel was enjoyable. It has a satisfying ending. However, I would still like to know more about the Clandestine and the veil. I think the makers didn’t go much into detail about Najma and others. But for Iman Vellani, aka Kamala Khan, the show has proved to be an amazing entry into the MCU.
