Tanpopo didn’t seem all that menacing working under Kawashita. They came across as ordinary individuals enjoying card games and feasts. But, as we soon learn, appearances can be deceiving. Meanwhile, back at the Yozakura mansion, the family is briefed on Tanpopo’s location. Their base is situated on Skeleton Island, about 30 kilometres from the mainland.

We also learn that a large quantity of Hazakura has been planted on this island, making it critical that the Yozakura family doesn’t fail this mission. They must strategize carefully for an attack that will occur within a week, and they’ll be working alongside the Hinagiku organization. Taiyo, needing to reach his full potential, begins an intense training regimen with the help of Grandpa. As the one who trained alongside Momo, Grandpa is the perfect mentor for Taiyo’s development. However, his training methods are extremely dangerous, though undeniably effective.

This episode also reveals some intriguing backstories regarding the members of Hinagiku. Their motivation for stopping Tanpopo is far more personal than we initially believed. There are dark secrets that connect key members of Hinagiku, particularly Rin, Aoi, and Oga.

Here the most significant moment, however, is the introduction of the fully awakened state known as the Blooming, a powerful ability unique to those with Yozakura blood. As Mutsumi’s chosen one, Taiyo is expected to achieve this form as well. What Taiyo’s Blooming will look like, and how his powers will manifest, is something you’ll have to discover as the story unfolds.

In the next episode, we might see Taiyo and others preparing for their upcoming infiltration of the skull island. Hopefully, Taiyo will be fully ready before that and be able to unlock the full potential of his Blooming. We might also see Momo in action again.
