Mirror Mirror Plot/Synopsis

The official synopsis of the film reads, “Employees at a cosmetics firm grapple with their respective desires by arguing with themselves in the mirror, ahead of their company’s anniversary party.” In the film, Álvaro, Cristina, Paula and Alberto fight for what they want while facing their own reflections in the mirror, in a mixture of ambition, fear, love and betrayal.

It is an offbeat comedy that raises issues such as identity, ego and the contradictions that we can have within each one of us. The four main characters are in a big inner crisis and they talk to themselves through their reflections. The film explores the domain of, what we are told that we have to fulfil ourselves personally and find ourselves.

But what part of our personality do we have to find? What aspect of us is the one that has to prevail? In the end, it is our actions that end up defining us, but before making any decision, one part of us has to impose itself on the other. There are no exact black and white, we have to tread the grey parts in our lives as well.
