Mashle Season 2 Episode 12 Review and Recap – Mash Vs Studies

Mashle Season 2 Episode 12 Review Mashle Ends With Lighthearted Comedy

It is finally the calm after the storm, where we see how everyone is kind of collecting themselves following the massive showdown that went on between Innocent Zero and the Easton Academy. While Mash is the one who saved the headmaster and also kind of drove away Innocent Zero, the divine visionaries take the credit for it because they do not want to create panic. And even though I think that this is an unfair arrangement, I do believe this way, Mash will escape more unwanted and bad attention.

But now that he has proved how powerful and helpful he is, you would believe that the ever-unimpressed Orter will finally be pleased. Sadly, he is not pleased at all, and he even discards Mash’s display of immense strength as just a menial thing that doesn’t deserve praise. He even chastises Kaldo for siding with Mash.

But amidst all of this, what do you think Mash is doing? Well, he is doing what a high schooler would do after completing an intense exam. He is at the beach having fun with his friends and playing games. His nonchalant ways, which drive almost all his enemies mad, are really funny, as he just doesn’t give a damn about what is happening around him.

But there is one thing that is more challenging than beating enemies and defeating Innocent Zero for Mash. And it is a challenge that almost all of us have faced in our own lives, which is the final written exam. Not only is this exam going to decide whether Mash will stay in the school or not, but we find out that Mash is exceptionally bad at studies. Even more surprising to me was the fact that Dot was actually good at it. This part was hilarious, and seeing Mash overcome this aspect is also endearing.

The last part of the episode was nice, as it showcased just how far Mash has come not just in strength but also in relation to having good friends. Even he knows that he is loved and protected by people other than his grandfather. But the fact that Lemon and Dot used their unique methods to protect Mash was really funny.

Verdict

We end this season on a humorous note. This episode points out how difficult it will be for Mash to defeat Innocent Zero and his evil brothers. But Mash being Mash, bravely declares that he doesn’t care about their strengths and he will just try to win with his might. I will definitely miss seeing more of this lighthearted comedy anime, and I hope we will get a new season soon.
