Maestra Episode 9 Preview: Maestra String of Truth (마에스트라) is a Korean mystery thriller that tells the story of a passionate violinist who reaches the peak she craves, without letting anyone get in her way. Directed by Kim Jung-kwon, the drama stars Lee Young-ae, Lee Mo-saeng, Hwang Bo Reum-byeol, Kim Young-jae, Park Ho-san, and Yang Jun-mo, alongside other cast members.

The Kdrama tells the story of violinist Cha Se-eum who is now the conductor of an orchestra. While she has reached a stage that is envied by all with her hard work and passion, Se-eum has a secret that can change her life forever. And so it does when a mysterious case takes place in the orchestra and she takes a look into it.

Maestra Strings of Truth takes over tvN’s Saturday & Sunday 21:20 time slot previously occupied by Castaway Diva.

Maestra Episode 9 Prediction

Se-eum is stunned by what happened on stage and needs an escape from everything that has been going on, thus, she decides to leave Hanphil for good. Meanwhile, Jeong-jae wonders how he could help Se-eum escape from her hell and begins looking for her after she disappears. But all that Se-eum wants is to live for as long as possible.

The blood on Se-eum’s hand turns out to be her own, however, the news of Bong-ju’s death accompanied by her memory loss from the night has left Se-eum in a panic. Unable to hold in the stress from all this pushes Se-eum to finally get a blood test done while Jeong-jae continues to worry for her.

Soon, Se-eum begins her plan to get the orchestra back on track and contacts Han-gil to record a documentary on Hanphil with Kim Phil as the host. However, she convinces him with a special report on her divorce which she will announce a few days before the release of the documentary which will be a gain for him.

With this, the recording begins while Jeong-jae is shocked by what Se-eum is doing and confronts her. However, when she says that Hanphil could be her last orchestra, Jeong-jae is unable to stop her any longer. Soon, the day of the next concert arrives but when Kim Phil tells her about meeting him on the day of the incident, she is shocked as she does not remember anything.

While he thinks that she is tensed because she might have the disease, Se-eum struggles to calm her emotions as the fear of the disease and having committed a crime surrounds her. Soon, she steps on stage to perform but begins hallucinating about Bong-ju and her mother which finally push her to her limit and she collapses right after the performance.

The series will stream from December 9, 2023, to January 14, 2024. Episode 9 of the series will stream on January 6 at 9:20 PM KST (7:30 PM IST).

Maestra Plot

The show’s synopsis reads: “A highly accomplished conductor decides to leave her life in New York behind to take up the challenge of reviving a struggling orchestra.”

The drama is a remake of the French show Philharmonia which aired in 2019. It follows the life of Cha Se-eum who is driven by passion and her boldness to achieve all that she aims for, no matter the price.

Maestra Cast

Directed by Kim Jung-kwon and screenwriter Choi Yi-yoon, the drama stars Lee Young-ae, Lee Mo-saeng, Hwang Bo Reum-yeol, Kim Young-jae, Park Ho-san, and Yang Jun-mo, alongside other cast members.

Lee Yong-ae returns to the screen with a new protagonist role after her spectacular performance in Inspector Koo, alongside Lee Mo-saeng from Cleaning Up and Hwang Bo Reum-yeol from Can I Step In?
