When is Love to Hate You Releasing? All About Netflix’s Upcoming Enemies-to-Lovers Kdrama Series

Netflix has been making South Korean media accessible to fans, and Love to Hate You (연애대전) is the latest drama series that will be premiering on the platform. Directed by Kim Jung-kwon, the plot surrounds a man and a woman who do not believe in love, which ultimately turns their relationship into rivalry.

The series was first announced on November 4, 2021, and the production began briefly after. The story is written by Choi Soo-young and is produced by Binge Works. The show will consist of ten episodes in total, each with a runtime of approximately 45-50 minutes.

Love to Hate You Cast

Kim Ok-vin will take up the lead role of Yeo Mi-ran, an entertainment lawyer at a firm, and Teo Yoo will appear as Nam Kang-ho, one of the top South Korean actors and Mi-ran’s love interest. The rest of the supporting and recurring cast includes Kim Ji-hoon as Do Won-jun, Go Won-hee as Shin Na-eun, Lee Joo-bin as Oh Se-na, Song Ji-woo as Hwang Ji-ye, Kim Sung-ryung and more.

Love to Hate You Plot/Synopsis

The official Netflix description of the show reads as follows:

For an attorney who despises losing to men and an A-list actor who distrusts women, love means nothing — until they’re forced to date each other.

When people with polar opposite personalities encounter, it is bound to become something drastic. A small-time journalist who does not love her work suddenly gains interest after stumbling upon a popular actor with an intriguing life. The trailer showcases how the two live in separate worlds yet meet each other in the unlikeliest places.

However, the lead characters instantly despise each other and develop a hateful relationship. A secret cold war between them starts to evolve, and winning is the only thing on their minds. But the story further gets complicated when the supporting characters appear to chime in, creating a whirlpool of events which leads to undesirable situations.

Nevertheless, the lead characters seem to fall in love, but will they be able to maintain their relationship built on lies and deceit? It will be interesting to witness how the plot of the show will unfold.

Love to Hate You is set to release on February 10, 2023, on Netflix. All ten episodes of the show will release on the same day.
