Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 9-10 Review: Finally, the Long Torment Ends

Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 9-10 Review: In yet another instalment of this extremely popular reality television show, also known as Casamento às Cegas Brasil, we have Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo returning as hosts, introducing our contestants through booths, with the men on one side and the women on the other. The men cannot see any of the women, and it will be like that until one of them proposes and brings this thing to an end. The top ten participants included Karen Bacic, Daniela Silva, Maria Carolina Caporusso, Ágata Moura, Bianca Sessa, Daniel Manzon, Renan Justino, Valmir Reis, Jarbas Andrade and Menandro Rosa.

Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episode 9

We have reached that point in the episodes where things are moving towards a climax. However, before that, there are moments where all the girls and the guys meet separately, and once again, there is this repetitive conversation complaining about their spouses days before they have to get married, noting that fighting now is good because they won’t be able to handle this either. Moreover, their rigid idea of every wedding ceremony creates so much unrealistic expectations for the people watching. I truly cannot handle any more of these couples arguing.

Over the last two-three weeks, we have seen them fight, make up, get into yet another petty fight, bring up something from the past and shut themselves off. It is almost like all of them realised that maybe marrying this quickly had consequences. Fortunately, at least their wedding dresses and ceremonies were beautiful enough to distract from the fact that they pulled the biggest, most concerning pranks on their partners during the ceremony.

Continuing on this wedding journey, we see them do their vows which were incredibly sweet and specific, the one thing they have going for them. However, the entire prospect of allowing their partners to say no while they all wear wedding clothing is one of the most mind-boggling things I have heard. This writer can accept that the show can be entertaining under other circumstances, namely better writing and better contestants, but this didn’t make it entertaining. It just made the whole show seem irrelevant after 8 episodes of marital grind.

I have still yet to uncover why this show was interesting to watch after ending the final episode as well. This wasn’t entertaining. It has the capacity to dissuade anyone from marriage and doesn’t even bother to explore how its foundational premise could be right or wrong because all the circumstances make the decision seem rigged.

Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 9-10 Review: Final Thoughts

The past few episodes have truly made the story get better, but this took me right back to square one. I wouldn’t wish anyone to watch this show because, apart from the premise being flawed, it is like watching the contestants speaking the same thing over and over again before they move on to something more interesting. Additionally, it is also so evident that they are trying their level best to stick to the script that the producers and showrunners are handing to them.

Considering that it comes under the banner of a reality show, there is absolutely nothing in this series that gives that idea to us. Every dialogue, fight, reason for a fight and resolution seems rehearsed. We never get to see the way they fight, only the dramatic highlights. Even their resolution for conflicts seem so forced. It would have been better if some of them had actually chosen based on what they felt. Alas, the realm of reality television puts perceived entertainment above all, even though it isn’t entertainment at all.

Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.

  1. I absolutely LOVED season 3 LB: Brazil. It was the first time I could see matches that make sense. I loved the idea that Valmir went from my most disliked to one of favorites. The show gave so many different perspectives this time around and for first time is Love is Blind history all the couples said YES !!!!! I loved it and I have hope for all of them that they can truly make it with cameras gone. Jarbas (a sexy one btw…lol) showed the world there are still real men who aren’t superficial and stuck on looks. Let’s see at the reunion just how real the answers were and if they are still together then how rigged is the show??? I believe it could be to some degree. Never makes sense to me how they always conveniently are dressed the part during proposals….but who cares people meet in the strangest of ways in the real world too… TV is for entertainment and this show always fits the bill for me… Love is Blind Brazil is more entertaining than the US

  2. huge red flags in all couples.

no candy demands and a “childish palate” as an annoyance made me cringe.

jealousy of past relationships, who they followed on social media, complaining about their partner having too many drinks at the suit fitting… urgh…

not the strong female energy i have seen in past shows… felt like they all said yes to avoid being “dumped” at the alter… karen should have done a runner…

  3. This was the first LUB Brazil that I could follow.

I see some people commenting about the fake or rehearsed tone of it all. I think this is true. And I think it’s a cultural issue. Most Brazilian people like to please. They worry too much about how they will be seen to others. So you see this a lot in the seasons.

Season 3 was the first time I gave it my thumbs up in Netflix. It seemed more realistic somehow.

Nevertheless, what blew it up all was the reunion (E11). Here the artificial ridiculousness of it all was blown out of proportion.

You can even see it in the awkwardness of the presenters themselves. Not to say the fake laughs and demeanor of the couples. Everything is over the top, like a game show that no one ever asked or wanted to see.

It’s a pity. I don’t think they will ever be able to get it right.

    Maybe go to México? Colombia?
