– Love is Blind After the Altar Season 2 Review Does Not Contain Spoilers –

Love is Blind After the Altar season 2 is back with more drama, more unnecessary trash TV and more things that we don’t need but we definitely desperately want… or maybe that’s just me.

If you’re interested to know what everyone is doing from season 2, with a healthy dose of editing and scripting, then this is a great place to be. As everyone slowly makes an appearance, all chummy and whatnot, audiences will be happy to know that Shake isn’t coming to this car crash.

With that out of the way, we get to the first episode, which is more of an introduction and what our contestants have been up to for the past year before everyone goes to a vacation rental for Natalie’s surprise birthday party but it’s not a party on Love is Blind without some cringe and extreme awkwardness.

Love is Blind After the Altar season 2

Some people go to the party unattached while others have to surprise new spouses, and although it shouldn’t be awkward, it is. I think the show tries to push the drama where there shouldn’t be any drama. Personally, it feels a bit forced. However, the scene between one of the couples is rather delicious and really feels relatable. I am sure all of us have someone like that in our lives.

There are some emotional conversations and lots of gossip, and, for some reason, After the Altar season 2 feels like a better and saner watch than the other seasons/episodes. Or maybe, it’s just me getting too into trash reality TV. Either way, it’s not as cringe as the ‘normal’ season 2 episodes.  It might be because everyone has grown up a bit, or it may be because Shake isn’t there. It’s honestly a 50-50 at this point.

A topic of conversation in After the Altar season 2 is Kyle and Deepti’s relationship. Which, anyone not informed about their social media posts – there’s something there that no one wanted to talk about at one point. And woof, do they talk about it thoroughly, with different people giving both of them advice on what to do and what not to do. But do they finally make the dreaded decision? That’s for you to find out!

Love is Blind After the Altar season 2

The party itself, fuelled by alcohol, looks extremely fun. It’s great to watch friends talk to each other… until the drama sits up and takes notice. And obviously, that comes into play when Shaina makes an appearance with her new beau for 5 minutes. With Mallory and Sal and Shaina and Natalie, there’s a lot of unnecessary drama that you don’t expect out of 30-year-olds. But here we are, so what are you going to do?

The party (for us) doesn’t end with their party, we move on to more serious issues as everyone tries to the right their wrongs. Some of them work, some don’t, but mostly it’s a nice watch. By the end, you wonder who is telling the truth and who isn’t because you’re really not there to see these texts or watch the conversations. So, the he-said-she-said fills you with more questions than answers.

Summing Up: Love is Blind After the Altar Season 2

Love is Blind After the Altar season 2

Well, there’s no good or bad with Love is Blind. You either love it or hate it. Although the drama in After the Altar season 2 is rather childish and unnecessary, it’s still catching up on everyone whom we have learnt to love to hate and hate to love.

It is what it is, guys.
