Love and Death Finale Reactions: Elizabeth Olsen-Tom Pelphrey Inspire Mad Respect; Explicit Murder Scene Scares All

Twitter is overflowing with passionate Love and Death finale reactions now that the series has wrapped up its last chapter. Never-ending praises for Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Pelphrey have made the headlines as both actors have blown away the audience with their respective stupendous performances. Gradually building up its pace, the series has ended with the 7th episode titled ‘Sssshh’, but viewers of the show are no closer to moving on from the remarkable dramatised true crime TV show that first premiered on Max on April 27, 2023.

Starring Elizabeth Olsen as Candy Montgomery, Jesse Plemons as Allan Gore, Lily Rabe as Betty Gore, Krysten Ritter as Sherry Cleckler, Elizabeth Marvel as Jackie Ponder, Patrick Fugit as Pat Montgomery and others, Love and Death has been created and written for TV by David E Kelley. Lesli Linka Glatter has directed the series’ episodes, while Nicole Kidman and Per Saari are a few of the executive producers of the HBO Max true-crime miniseries.

Based on Texas Monthly articles and the book Evidence of Love by Jim Atkinson and John Bloom, it centres around the real-life story of a Texan housewife who was ultimately accused of brutally murdering her friend in the ’80s.

Much like the episode’s name, its leading duo of Olsen-Pelphrey has also left the audiences speechless and stunned. Elizabeth has showcased her wide range of performance with this series since the first episode, and the last few have only led her fans to be more stupefied with her onscreen abilities. Till now the actor has been majorly renowned for her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while she’s equally displayed her acting chops therein, the world hasn’t appreciated her work enough.

With the Love and Death Season finale, even a single teardrop of hers has been proclaimed to be worthy of an Emmy victory. But she’s not been alone in this arduous journey. Her co-star Tom Pelphery who’s played the role of Don Crowder and led Candy’s legal team during the proceedings, has equally stepped up to his post and amazed viewers. Emmy prayers are in order for both the Ozark and MCU alumnae.

As the show has reached its end line, Elizabeth’s admirers who love to call her Lizzie are still not quite over the Max TV show at all. Moreover, they’re still reeling from the shocking and gory visuals of the axe murder scene that was finally showcased in the final episode. Nothing could’ve prepared them for the bloodbath, yet they’re still hitting replay on the entire series and planning on binge watching all episodes again because they can’t get enough of how Lizzie can put on a ravishing performance even without speaking a single word in some scenes. Her eyes do the talking for her instead.
