Loki Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

Miss Minutes shows Renslayer the time He Who Remains and she spent at the End of Time. The conversation they have is the same one Loki heard on the radio when he was in the past. After Renslayer leaves for her mission, he calls Miss Minutes to follow Protocol 42 to erase Renslayer and everyone else’s memories. It was Ravonna who commanded the army for the war while he was sitting here on the throne. Miss Minutes tells Renslayer that they don’t need him for their mission.

Victor, Loki, Mobius and Sylvie arrive at the TVA. He is fascinated and startled to see what he has built. Initially, he refuses to go to the Temporal Loom. But after hearing the sounds from his Loom, he agrees to help. Oruboros and Victor have a fan moment as they meet each other. OB tells everyone that someone will have to take the Throughput Multiplier to the gangway and load it into the launcher. The person will have to hit the green button and launch it to the Loom, and it will scale with Loom’s capacity to handle all the branches.

Victor hells them with the issues they’ve been facing with their Loom. He shows them their Loom, and they can carry out the plan if they integrate them. Mobius suggests they have a pie as OB, Casey, and Victor work on fixing the Loom. Sylvie gets angry at Mobius for being so casual despite knowing branches are dying. She asks Mobius if he even looked for others after discovering he’s a Variant.

Inside the TVA room where Brad, Dox, and others are locked, Brad tells everyone that if they all think together, they can figure out a way to get out of the room. Dox loses at Brad for giving up easily on their mission. Hunter B-15 and D-5 arrive there. B-15 tells Dox she wants her help to protect the TVA, as they want the same thing.

Loki follows Sylvie after her outburst with Mobius. Loki tells Sylvie she refused to help them and is back at the TVA only because she didn’t kill Victor. Loki tells her that she spared Timely’s life and that saving him will save lives on other timelines. Sylvie questions Loki for putting so much faith in those 3 (OB, Victor, and Casey) and reminds him how Dox, who belongs to the TVA, is the reason for some of the dead branches. Loki tells her that some branches are still alive because of Mobius, B-15, and other guys.

Sylvie asks Loki what if he’s wrong about this place, and the better option would be to burn it down and start from scratch. Loki told her that burning a place is easy, but hoping for good is hard. Sylvie asks Loki if they’ll show Victor everything at the TVA and send him back. Loki tells her that they will keep an eye on him. Sylvie asks if they’ll be playing Gods, to which Loki answers, We are Gods.

Renslayer and Miss Minutes arrive at the TVA and meet Dox. She wants Dox to be by her side to protect TVA. Renslayer tells them whoever joins her will have a life on their timeline if they want one. Bradley joins Ravonna while others are killed for refusing to be by her side. Mobius comes down to see the work on the Loom with a hot cocoa drink in his hand. Victor is amazed that they have a cocoa machine to make the drink.

Victor insists on seeing the machine, and D-5 takes him there. Unfortunately, Brad kills D-5 and takes Timely with him. B-15 informs Dox that her army is dead. Loki tells everyone that Renslayer doesn’t want Victor; she wants the TVA. Brad takes Victor to Renslayer, who asks him about his device. If he refuses to give her the information, X-5 will kill him. Miss Minutes takes control of everything at the TVA.

Loki and Sylvie run towards the elevator, but only Sylvie goes in and gets stuck. Loki runs with the device in his hand, and the same events of his Temporal Loom process are repeated. We learn that it was Loki who pruned Loki in that scene. The phone near the elevator starts ringing again, and Loki picks it up. Loki informs them that Miss Minutes is slowing them down. OB tells them he could take her offline if he reboots the system. If he does that, the security protocols will go down and prevent people from using magic at the TVA.

Loki and Sylvie tell OB to turn off the system. On the other hand, Victor tells Renslayer about the Multiplier. OB turns off the system, and the TVA has no power. When X-5/Brad goes out to see what’s happening, Loki and Sylvie enchant him. Brad returns and prunes Renslayer while Loki and Sylvie take Victor. They bring Victor back to the Loom and want him to scan the device with his aura. The machine says, “Welcome, He Who Remains”. Loki decides to walk with the Throughout Multiplier, but Victor says it should be him as he knows how it works. Victor wears the suit and walks out to connect the Multiplier.
