Flowers in Sand Episode 6 Recap

The episode starts with a flashback of Do-sik and Baek-du from their younger days, where the coach is trying to recruit a volunteer for the ssireum team, which is beneficial for the individual. However, Do-sik remains far away from the team as girls were not frequently joining the form of wrestling in the older days.

Back to the present day, after Baek-du says that he joined the ssireum team because of Do-sik, she is shocked and flustered. She asks him if it is because he has feelings for her, and he outright denies it. Suddenly, Hyeon-uk appears and addresses Do-sik with a pet name that only couples use. This leaves Baek-du angry as he knows the truth about their relationship, but Do-sik urges him to keep it a secret from everyone.

Later, Do-sik and Hyeon-uk try to investigate more about the coach’s sudden death and conclude that he has taken his own life after failing to pay his debt back. Hyeon-uk also asks her about Do-sik, which leaves a tense atmosphere between them. However, he quickly dismisses the conversation, leaving Do-sik wondering about the situation.

While Do-sik practices with the team, Jin-su arrives and announces that the selection for the team has been delayed until further notice. Moreover, he also invites everyone to his mother’s restaurant for a meal as they are prepping for the upcoming matches. But he asks Baek-du to stay late and practice more as he is lagging behind everyone.

Meanwhile, Baek-du and his brother start talking about the match from the Dano Championship. His brother reveals that he filmed the match, which makes Baek-du extremely excited. He sprits over to Do-sik and informs her that he has a long video of the match which also showcases the audience’s reactions and can be beneficial for her investigation.

The next day while practicing, Jin-su appears again and informs that the selection of the next championship will be happening soon. However, he informs Baek-du that he will be not competing as he is not ready, which leaves everyone in a sour mood. Later, Do-sik meets the coach and says that Baek-du is a clever individual and he should be given a chance.

Meanwhile, Hyeon-uk starts a conversation with Do-sik where he starts to throw hints that he has discovered a major secret. He reveals that he knows that Yu-Gyeong is her fake name and she is the real Do-sik everyone keeps talking about. On the other hand, Baek-du runs up to Jin-su and requests to let him compete in the upcoming matches so that he can showcase his potential.
