People who pay for stand-up comedy shows know very well they’re in for some treat. By treat, it’s not going to be completely appropriate but loaded with offensive, nasty, and foul commentaries made by the comedian. Staying true to the former statement, Wayne’s new stand-up special made the crowd roar for his highly explicit and offensive jokes.

Starting from becoming a father of 10, cheating on his women, and mocking his uncle with AIDS to praising Jesus, the one-hour special proves how Wayne is super ready to get cancelled for speaking his mind out. Wayne explored the troubles of parents who raise their children having to listen to the words of non-parents. He then added about his childhood and his best times with his grandma who constantly gave him the deserved beating for being ignorant.

The viewers thoroughly enjoyed the sexual jokes because it was both relatable and surprising to hear from a star comedian. Wayne in fact admitted to having cheated multiple times and also about selling drugs back in those times. This shows how courageous comedians can be as they’re prepared to let the secrets roll out.

He even talked about religion and frankly asked the audience to get out if they didn’t believe in Jesus. Wayne explained about his faith and about the religion he follows with real-life examples that could make up for a comedy movie. Again as said, the audience paid to watch his show so it’s not fair to bash the comedian for speaking on content that makes one uncomfortable because the other half of the audience surely enjoyed it.

Coming to his outfit for the show, the stylist deserves a raise. Wayne looked stunning in his blue shimmer tux as it made the entire empty stage shine without any props. He literally rolled on the ground and kept the stage alive, looking like a ball of shine. There weren’t any unnecessary accessories on him but just the right attire that enhanced his colour.

The cinematographer and the director ensured to cover the audience’s reactions thankfully, otherwise, it would have looked like a show with edited laughing sounds. The reactions of the people were priceless, and earnest, making the show authentic. Since most of the audience were black people, it even made sense why Wayne was pulling on certain topics because he knew the crowd. He knew exactly what to talk about to make them feel the vibe.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the special was hilarious and noteworthy. Of course, his jokes on women and cheating felt inappropriate but that’s the point of the show. He boldly generalised that cheating is wrong while also joking about it. He made sure to mark that women’s prayers work and that men shouldn’t cheat on them. If the special is viewed from a different perspective, surely it is educative, comedic, and greatly influencing in a positive way.
