On the other hand, Gu Won continues overlooking the preparations during which he approaches the doorkeeper of the hotel who has been working there for the past 30 years. The doorkeeper asks him to wait for a while as an important guest is soon to arrive and Gu Won asks him to meet at King the Land.
Later, he asks him about the guest and finds a very heartwarming story behind the doorkeeper’s insistence. He also asks him about his most memorable guest yet finds yet another story of a charter member of the hotel who helped out a lot during a crisis faced in the past. Their talks continue and later Gu Won even sends him off very politely which leaves Sang-sik confused.
Following this Gu Won watches over the preparations made at King the Land and is amazed by the diligence of the staff as they continue to rehearse for the event. At the end of the day, it is finally time for Gu Won and Sa-rang to meet and while the former’s plan to surprise her goes terribly wrong when Sa-rang hits him, the chaos has only just begun.

Gu Won tries to take advantage of the hit he just received when Sa-rang notices employees of the hotel coming their way and jumps into the first bus that stops in front of them. However, another surprise awaits them inside when it turns out to be a King Hotel shuttle that they boarded. Sa-rang then whips up a quick excuse and smoothly exits from the bus and the situation.
Later, the two spend time together at a date spot where Sa-rang asks him if he asked the doorkeeper about his mother. Gu Won tells her that it is now not so important to focus on that and this is something that he will have to solve by himself.
The night soon comes to an end and Sa-rang reaches home to find her two friends who ask her about Gu Won. Sa-rang avoids the topic and doesn’t reveal her relationship before making a quick leave. The next day, Sang-sik is able to Su-mi to help him out with the upcoming event, unaware that the latter might have begun feeling something for him.
Elsewhere, Gu Won is hit by Sa-rang’s grandmother with a pan when she catches him in a suspicious pose in her kitchen. She is surprised by his sudden visit as he brings her a bunch of gifts from his trip. But when she asks him what he brought for his father, she realises he brought nothing and hands over the balm he got for her to give to his father.

Gu Won then talks about Sa-rang and promises to take care of her and her grandmother together. He also hands over the gifts he brought for her market friends and after a quick lunch, he leaves. Meanwhile, Sa-rang approaches the gatekeeper and asks him about Gu Won’s mother but doesn’t get much information.
He then tells her to meet his friend who is in room maintenance to ask about Han Mi-soo. However, Sa-rang isn’t able to approach her when the woman gets angry upon seeing Sa-rang entering the room with her shoes on. Elsewhere, Hwa-rang tries to get her father involved in stopping Gu Won but fails to achieve the desired result.
However, her reminder of Gu Won’s mother makes Il-hoon distressed and this is seen by Gu Won who stops to sit with his father back at home. Il-hoon tries to get Gu Won to take Hwa-ran’s help but is stopped when Gu Won leaves behind the balm for him before returning to his room.

It is finally the day of the King Hotel’s 100th year anniversary and preparations for the event are now complete. The guests have arrived and the event soon begins with Gu Won entering the hall to host the event. As he shows his pride and gratitude for the hotel, he also thanks the employees who are working behind the scenes during this event.
He then hands over the microphone to his father for him to make his speech after which he prepares to introduce the VIPs of the event. While Hwa-ran prepares to bring the politician to the stage for the same, Gu Won shocks her by bringing an unknown man on stage. He introduces himself as the son of the charter who planted a tree in front of the hotel and Il-hoon recognises the young man whose father has once helped him through a crisis.

Gu Won then brings forward several employees of the hotel who have spent more than just their youth at the hotel. As they all share their stories, the atmosphere is filled with warmth, but Hwa-ran is left to face the wrath of the politician who storms off from the party. After the event, Il-hoon reminisces about the past, thinking about the woman who presented the project to make King Hotel the place where everyone is happy.
A dream of his that never got to see the light of day, Il-hoon saw a glimpse of it at the celebrations earlier. However, he once again faces a wall when Hwa-ran storms into his office and complaints about how this could create problems with their licensing in the upcoming year.

After the event, Gu Won continues to spend more time with the older employees of the hotel while Sa-rang invites him to her house for the upcoming weekend. Soon, the weekend arrives and Sa-rang prepares a feast of homecooked meals for Gu Won who is left stunned.
The two spend some heartwarming moments together while Sang-sik tries to call Gu Won, only to be ignored. However, as the two try to take it one step further, they are caught by Da-eul, Pyeong-hwa, Ro-un and Sang-sik who see Gu Won carrying and kissing Sa-rang in his arms.
A shocking moment for all and with this the episode comes to an end.

King the Land Episode 11 Review
Episode 11 brought a bunch of different kinds of heartwarming moments for us all, be it the kind that comes from some touching stories of the past or from the couple’s moments together. The show really knows how to take it a step further each week while also maintaining a good speed throughout.
Apart from the pace and the scenes of the episode, there is also the reality it dives into when showing us the effort that goes into making a hotel perfect. While the show has definitely been doing that since the beginning, it is always overwhelming to see the new sides that the show brings to us each time.
Altogether, this was yet another good episode and with an ending like that, it will be hard to wait for th next episode.
