A huge gathering of K-Pop artists has taken place, and they have all decided to dress up impeccably for the KCON Japan 2023 Day 3 red carpet event. All these fashion looks show how the artists put their best foot forward through these outfits. They all decided to wear outfits that convey a similar aesthetic, while some decided to wear the same outfit with subtly differentiating elements. This has been one of the biggest festivals involving artists like BTS, MONSTA X and Stray Kids in the past few years. And the line-up this year is equally explosive.
This time the festival is taking place at Makuhari Messe in Japan, K-pop’s one of the biggest consumer markets. The festival has lasted for three days, from May 12 to May 14, 2023, and was headlined by artists like ATEEZ, Le Sserrafim, THE BOYZ and more. To learn more about the artists at the KCON Japan 2023 Day 3 Red Carpet, see below.
KCON Japan 2023 Day 3 Red Carpet Looks
ENHYPEN
Members of the band are seen wearing matching suit jackets which all look similar except for certain elements that explore their individuality. The outfit comprises a white shirt, a black tie, trousers and a suit jacket. They all look extremely sharp like they were invited to some kind of a formal event.
iKON
In this group, there is no uniformity in the separate elements, but a similar collective aesthetic brings them together. The street fashion in this outfit is absolutely brilliant. The members employ the portability of adding layers and bringing multiple elements together in order to show their solidarity even within the wardrobe. This punk-rock grunge aesthetic the members have taken on creates an impression of the musical sense they bring to the stage.
ZEROBASEONE
These artists also seemed to have followed the previous artists’ example. They wore the same trousers and blazer with different T-shirts, shirts, sweater vests etc. While this made it seem like they were a couple of students making their debut as artists, it gave them a youthful look. Adding to that, the logo on their blazers doesn’t help at all. In case they were going for the international school aesthetic, it has been working out perfectly for them.
xikers
While the previous groups wore similar outfits with almost very little being different. This time, the artists have been wearing outfits with the same aesthetic, colour palette and coordination with the top and bottom. All of the members look like they’re part of the same group but are allowed to express their individuality more clearly. The baggy, varsity-like shirts and jackets all lend a sporty energy to the band. Their aesthetic very clearly leans towards the traditional depictions of masculinity with a twist.

KEP1ER
Like the previous group, this one has an aesthetic and a colour palette, too, that is very strictly followed. There were very specific outfit pieces that showed their uniformity, including the lavender short skirts, which were a majority of the outfits. However, the black elements in their outfits truly added depth that made their outfits amazing to see. The long gloves and long-sleeve T-shirts were the ones that added edge to their pastel outfits, brilliantly encompassing the group’s energy.
ITZY
Women in leather. That’s it. That is enough. Because this group has made their mark not by playing with colour or the kind of outfit pieces but by playing with texture. Adding layers is always best, but this move to use leather as a unifying factor is a brilliant way to create some kind of uniformity. They decided to keep the colour uniform, but the sheen is what sets them all apart. Whether it be a corset or a skirt, there is always an outfit piece that brings their group together.
&TEAM (or andTEAM)
With a grey jacket, maroon striped tie, white shirt and grey trousers, this group told us what uniformity looks like. Their only method of differentiating? The caps. Members who decided to wear something on their heads added a cap in order to create some depth instead of just a single kind of outfit overtaking a whole group. It has to be noted that their coordination and uniformity are so perfect that they definitely give the team player impression.
TEMPEST
While the author of the tweet above notes the change in the looks, it is only fair to note how brilliant their outfit constructions are. They have not just included masculine clothing elements but also some feminine pieces that give their look the layers it needs. They haven’t shied away from playing around with the outfit construction, but they have kept a strict sense of colour palette, excusing the subtle splashes like the emerald green, the ruby red and the silver thread.
