Justice Served Trailer Out: Netflix Promises An Intriguing Freedom Fighter Drama

The official trailer of a Netflix original series Justice Served has been released. It is a South African crime thriller series which is set to be released in July, with six episodes in total. It is directed by Award-winning director Jozua Malherbe, known for his work on the 2019 series Trackers, Zwelethu Radebe and co-creator of Rhythm City, Rolie Nikiwe.

Quite recently another South African film, Collision, starring Vuyo Dabula was released on the platform. Although Netflix has been trying to bring more original content to the platform, the film was not popular with the audiences due to its plot and acting. However, looking at the trailer of the series, viewers can expect something better to come out of the series.

The official Netflix synopsis of the Justice Served reads as – A band of freedom fighters invade the trial of a white police officer who shot a Black man — and a hostage situation unfolds on screens nationwide. It follows the story of an enigmatic Freedom Fighter, and his followers, who have a secret agenda, hi-jack a courthouse to let the public decide if the murder accused should be executed, setting the world on fire, and throwing the lives of everyday people into chaos.

The cast of the series includes Hlomla Dandala who will play the role of freedom fighter and military veteran Azania Maqoma, Morné Visser as Allan Harve, the man accused of killing a young black man, Pallance Dladla, Alex McGregor, Lerato Mvelase, Dineo Rasedile, Panch Gasela and Anton Jeftha. The series is described as a thrilling drama that unfolds in a hijacked courtroom while tensions and conflict fills the streets of South Africa which threatens to divide the country, families and friends.

The six-part series is scheduled to be released on 29 July on Netflix.
