Alia Bhatt is back in her latest action thriller, Jigra which has garnered mixed reviews from fans but with one common tagline- it is emotional. Directed by Vasan Bala, Alia stars alongside Vedang Raina who plays the role of her brother in the film, Shobhita Dhulipala, Manoj Pahwa, and others.
The film revolves around Satya Nanda, who has always been protective of her brother Ankur Nanda while living a tough childhood. However, when her brother is arrested on false charges in a foreign country, Satya transforms into a hero who is ready to go to any lengths to save her brother. Even if it means breaking him out of prison.
Being an Alia Bhatt starter, there is no doubt that expectations from the film have been high. Adding onto the mind-blowing trailer that focuses on the sibling love trope that we don’t come across very often, there is no doubt that many have been unhappy with the actual film. However, that doesn’t hide the beautiful portrayal of the sibling love the actors have portrayed which has got many fans in tears.
While the emotional tag is helping ease the supposed boredom felt by many, which they have certainly taken onto Twitter, it doesn’t change the fact that the plot didn’t deliver the punch that was shown in the trailer. With many fans applauding Alia Bhatt’s performance in the film, they are also condemning the stretched-out plot that made them lose interest.

Having drowned the many expectations of fans and avid film watchers, the movie is surely facing many negative comments. However, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina managed to shine through it all with their performance in the film. Their portrayal of siblings Satya and Ankur Nanda has many in tears while the music only adds to the charm and atmosphere of the film.
Once again, even the brilliantly selected music of the film is unable to save the stretchy plot of the film that has everyone disappointed. Altogether, this has led fans to go on Twitter with praises for the performance of the actors, the music, and the action scene, while also showing their disappointment in the plot.
With this, here are some Twitter reviews by movie fans on the film that you need to check out before choosing to watch Jigra.
