Indian Predator Diary of a Serial Killer Promo: Netflix India Teases Another Chilling Documentary

Indian Predator Diary of a Serial Killer is an India Today Originals Production which is set to be released in succession to the previous documentary series about the Butcher of Delhi. This series is directed by Dheeraj Jindal, a screenplay written by Sudeep Nigam with Chandni Ahlawat Dabas and Moumita Sen as executive producers.

It will investigate the case of a young, well-loved journalist who goes missing in Allahabad, and the entire community comes together to unearth the truth. In the process, they find an unlikely suspect — a small-time local politician’s husband. Just when the police thought the case was closed, they find a diary that has a list of 13 names along with that of the dead journalist.

The incident came to light when the police began an investigation in connection with the journalist’s disappearance. The journalist had gone missing from his house in the Kydganj area in UP on December 14, 2000. Three days later, his brother lodged a complaint, following which the police registered a case of kidnapping.

Scrutiny of call details revealed that he had made the last call on the mobile phone of district panchayat member Phoolan Devi, which led to the main convict, her husband, Niranjan. When the police reached his house in Chhinwki village, they found the journalist’s motorcycle, along with his mobile phone and charger.

Finally, Niranjan admitted to the murder with one more accomplice and also revealed that he had buried 14 human skulls in his house. He reportedly killed his victims and then used to keep their skulls. His motive for carrying out the killings was to take revenge on his enemies and to increase his mental power.

Indian Predator is said to be a Netflix series, which will bring light to many such cases from the country which terrorised the public, with their horrifying and bizarre nature. The Butcher of Delhi was the first of three parts that were released recently and the next part will be Diary of a Serial Killer.
