Indian Matchmaking Season 3 Cast: Which Past Clients Come Back?

Indian Matchmaking has made it a point to bring back different people from previous seasons to prove to us that Sima Aunty’s methods sometimes work. There’s a formula to the show that, if you look for a minute, becomes pretty clear.

In the second season, we saw Pradhyuman Maloo making a comeback, and although he didn’t find love on the show, he got married in a lavish ceremony, and we saw the planning, prepping, and the marriage itself as well. We also got to see Aparna Shewakramani living it up while Nadia Jagessar tried her hand once more with Sima Aunty after getting burned pretty badly in the first season.

In season 3, we see two other people from season 2 make an appearance – Viral Joshi, who is making strides with her beau Aashay Shah whom she met thanks to Sima Aunty and Shital Patel, who is also still with Niraj Mehta. All couples look happy together, and while Viral makes a trip to India to meet Aashay’s family for the first time, Shital and Niraj plan on taking the next steps in their relationship.

In the third season, we have Priya Ashra, who starts the series off and is given the biodata of Alick Varma. Unfortunately, Priya doesn’t like him and turns the match down then and there since one of her requirements was that the guy should have hair which Alick didn’t have. is introduced to Bobby Seagull.

Their cute date at a dance class, although sweet and fun, ends up not working out as Priya doesn’t get the vibes that she is looking for from him. She meets Jai Vasani after Bobby, but that date is quite underwhelming, even for the audience. She finally meets Vimal Kansara whom she takes an instant liking to, and even though their relationship faces a roadblock, they are able to get over it thanks to some honest conversations.

Rushali Rai gets two biodatas, one from Delhi and one from Mumbai, and she chooses Tushar Tyagi, who lives in Delhi. The date doesn’t go that well, and Rushali meets a life coach later on in order to address her traumas from the past and why she is weary of moving away from her parents.

Next, we meet Vikash Mishra, whose checklist consists of all the usual stuff but also that he (maybe) wants a Brahmin girl and that has a weird hangover for Hindi speakers. Either way, he meets Anjali Naskar and goes on several dates with her but eventually declines to hang out with her since she can’t speak Hindi.

He then meets Namrata Shah, but that date also doesn’t go well as he is not able to connect with her. His next date is with Janki Kaneria, and their date goes rather well. He even hints at wanting to meet her again.

We also meet Arti, who was in season 2’s meet and greet. This season she jumps right into the experience and meets different people, but none really work out for her. In the end, she finds Jamal on a dating app and a year after the experience gets engaged to him in a gorgeous proposal.

We finally meet Pavneet Kaur, and she goes on a date with Tushar, and both of them hit it off on the first date itself. However, a miscommunication about numbers puts a damper on the mood. Pavneet, however, does choose to meet him to clear the air, and their relationship ends on a hopeful note.

So, in the end, Vikash, Pavneet and Priya all get hopeful matches that might or not end up in marriages. Although their social media profile doesn’t hint towards anything, I guess we will have to wait and see where it goes.

Indian Matchmaking season 3 is streaming on Netflix.
