On August 16, 2024, Joy News 24 reported that Kim Hye-yoon, known for her standout performance in Lovely Runner, has been offered the lead role in the highly anticipated fantasy romance series. The actress is reportedly considering the role with keen interest.

Kim Hye-yoon and Park Solomon In Talk I’m Human from Today

The series, titled I’m Human from Today, is expected to explore the life of a gumiho, a mythical nine-tailed fox from Korean folklore. The plot follows this supernatural being’s quest to savor the pleasures of human life while evading its inherent responsibilities. Hye-yoon would play Eun-ho, a gumiho who enjoys immense wealth and beauty while navigating her unique existence without taking on the usual burdens of human life.

In addition to Hye-yoon, Solomon is in talks to join the cast as the male lead, Kang Si-yeol, a conceited soccer player who encounters significant changes in his life. The drama will be directed by Kim Jung-kwon, who is celebrated for his previous work on Love to Hate You.

Hye-yoon’s rise in the South Korean entertainment industry has been meteoric, with her recent roles in Lovely Runner and previously in Extraordinary You cementing her status as a leading actress. Solomon, recognised for his performances in Revenge of Others and All of Us Are Dead, is also expected to bring depth and charisma to his role.
