The latest instalment of the K-pop audition survival series has captivated audiences with its electrifying performances and the unwavering dedication of its contestants. As the show enters its sixth week, anticipation mounts for the I-LAND 2 Episode 7 preview. With each passing episode, the competition’s intensity has surged, fueling the anticipation of viewers as the series transitions into its next phase. Known as 아이랜드2 in Korean, this reality competition series, officially titled I-LAND Season 2: N/a, showcases a diverse ensemble of 24 contestants, ranging from seasoned K-pop veterans to aspiring idol trainees.
Hosted by actor Song Kang, the survival reality show sets out to mould top-tier contestants into a debut girl group. The eagerly awaited I-LAND 2 audition series unveils an exceptional roster of esteemed mentors who will shepherd aspiring participants towards their aspirations. The distinguished panel of judges features Producer Teddy Park, Taeyang from BIGBANG, VVN, 24, Monika Shin, Jeon Somi, and Lee Jung-lee.

Brief I LAND 2 Episode 6 Recap
The episode starts with the announcement of the final gate to the grand finale of I-Land 2N/A Part 1. As it will be a qualifying round and out of the 12 I-LANDERS, only 6 can survive, chosen by the producers/judges. The episode then proceeds to show the tension between the contestants and how the swapping of GROUNDERS and I-LANDERS has personally affected them and their thoughts, as all of them aspire to be part of the debut team.
Then the Meta Ball is announced for the contestants; this will be the last test of Part 1. It’s a 1:1 position Battle, meaning it’s not a team competition but a match between two I-LANDERS in the same position. From numbers 1 to 6, divided by position, two people in the same position will be compared and comprehensively evaluated to determine the winner.
The 6 winners chosen by the producers will proceed to part two immediately; the six who lose to the GROUNDERS have to await the I-MATE SAVE VOTE. Before the final mission, they are tasked with writing lyrics for a special mission, and whoever succeeds will have their name included in the song’s lyricist credits along with the other producers. In this task, FUKO emerges as the winner, and her name is included.
After selecting their positions and identifying their competitors, both teams commenced their practices. They strived to do their best, aware of each other’s strengths and weaknesses. On the day of the competition, Team A initiated the performance, swiftly overcoming the weaknesses highlighted during practice tests. Following their performance, it was Team B’s turn, and they, too, delivered an exceptional performance, making it difficult for the producers to determine the winner of the 1:1 test.
For the results from Team A, Mai, and Team B, Nam Yuju, went to the stage, and the winner was Mai. Then, Choi Jungeun and Lingling were called on stage, and between them, it was announced that Choi Jungeun won the mission. Then, the 4th position, which was between Ryu Sarang and Bang Jeemin, was announced, and Sarang won it. The producer was a little disappointed with Jeemin because she chose a part of the song with fewer lyrics, and they wanted her to do more.
The 3rd position contestant was called on stage, which was between KOKO and Saebi, and it was declared that Jeong Daebi won it. Then, it was the main vocalist position. Two were called from both teams, Kim Sujung and Yoon Jiyoon, and Jiyoon won it. Finally, the centre position of both teams, between FUKO and Yui, was announced, and FUKO won it.

The preview for Episode 7 of ‘The I-LAND 2’ is not yet available. It will be revealed only after the results of the I-MATE SAVE VOTE. The audience has the chance to save their favourite contestants, who they want to see debut in the girl group and proceed to the second part of the show. The voting has already started on the Mnet+ app and will continue until May 30, 2024. The votes will be counted with 50% from local Korean voters and 50% from global voters.
