Hawkeye Theories: What if Eleanor is the Villain and Called Yelena?

Hawkeye Episode 4 is now out on Disney+. A lot happened in Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld starrer today. While there are a lot of theories coming up, we have some that may or may not make sense to everyone. From Eleanor’s (Vera Farmiga) to the Rolex watch secret, many things are making us scratch our heads.

These Hawkeye theories may just be theories, and the plot can be something else. So if you agree with us, it’s good to know so many people think alike. But if you don’t, we would like to know your views in the reply section. But don’t consider them as the only answers to everything that happened.

Check out some Hawkeye theories about Eleanor, Yelena and more:

Not Jack (Tony Dalton), but Eleanor is the villain

From episode 1, Eleanor has been bothering me. The way she taunts Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and has blind faith in her lover over her daughter doesn’t make sense. In episode 4, when she asks Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) to leave, she makes a concerning phone call to someone. Who is that person – Maya or Yelena Belova (Alaqua Cox and Florence Pugh)?

Hawkeye Theories: What if Eleanor is the Villain and Called Yelena?

The Rolex belongs to…

After Thanos’ snap, some bad people started selling stuff from damaged Avengers HQ in the black market. Clint’s wife Laura informs him about a Rolex watch which the Tracksuit mafias were given for a mission. Clint and Kate take the risk of stealing the watch from an apartment that belongs or Maya. But what’s so important about the watch? No one knows yet.

But the person who we think belongs the watch to is Laura. I mean, she is the one who called Clint and informed them about it. There’s already so much to deal with, but she diverted his attention to something small like a watch. So it definitely has some big secrets about Laura. But is it a good or bad secret? Well, we will only find out in the next two episodes. Chances are, the watch won’t even belong to her as this is just a theory!

Eleanor called Yelena and knows Valentina

What if, hear us out, what if Eleanor knows Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus)? Valentina appeared in the end credits of Black Widow and told Yelena that Clint is responsible for Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) death. The episode begins with Eleanor’s call to someone unknown and ends with Yelena kicking Clint’s a**. That can’t just be a coincidence.

Hawkeye Episode 4 Still

So our last theory is that it was Eleanor who called Valentina who sent Yelena to attack Clint. Eleanor not only wants Barton to stay away from Kate but might also have something to do with Maya. Or is she also a part of Jack’s shady business? We never know.

These are some Hawkeye theories we have come up with based on today’s episode.
