Hawkeye Episode 5 Review Contains Spoilers

In Hawkeye Episode 5, ‘Ronin’, after Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) tells Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to leave, she goes back to her mother, Eleanor Bishop’s house. The mother-daughter duo has a heartfelt talk about superheroes and emotional stuff. She tells Eleanor about her suspicions towards Jack Duquesne and Sloan. Kate visits her old apartment to get her stuff. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) has been waiting for Kate to show up, and the two have a long talk.

Yelena tells Kate that she’s here to kill Clint because he’s the reason her sister Natasha Romanoff died. Kate refuses to believe it and keeps telling Yelena that Clint is a hero, a good guy. But Yelena is in no mood to listen to Kate Bishop and warns her to not come in her way. Kate asks Yelena who hired her, but Natasha’s sister has no clue about it.

On the other hand, Clint decides to get back in the Ronin avatar and fights Echo. He reveals his identity and tells Echo that her uncle hired him to kill her father. Echo refuses to believe it and attacks Clint. Thankfully, Kate arrives on time and saves Clint from getting killed. After learning about Jack’s wrongdoings from her daughter, Eleanor calls the cops and gets him arrested.

At the end of the episode, Kate Bishop tells Clint that Natasha’s sister tried to kill him on the roof. Immediately, Yelena sends a picture of the people who hired her to kill Clint. The people in the picture is a big shock to Kate, but Clint and fans have been guessing it right from the start!

Hawkeye Episode 5 ‘Ronin’ had more talking and fewer action scenes. While carrying the Christmas spirit ahead, the episode makes many startling revelations. It was another great episode, especially the fight between Ronin and Echo. When Clint talks to Natasha by standing in front of her Memory wall, it just breaks your heart. You feel bad to see how much he misses his best friend every day. Yet, there’s someone out there who wants to kill him.
