3 Ariana Grande Songs From the Sweetener Album
No Tears Left To Cry
The song was released as the album’s lead single after a short hiatus due to the bombing incident on her tour. It can be seen as a self-help song which speaks about how, at this current point in time, the singer is learning to be content with herself and she prefers to keep it that way. Although the song starts out a bit slow-paced, it soon accelerates the beats and turns into a Pop song.
She wants to say that she has finished crying and hence no more tears left to cry. Breakups, deaths, relationships, life and so many other things could be related to this song. No matter what happens all you can do is pick yourself up, love yourself and move on. The video is a spectacle to watch and you can check it out below.
God is a woman
It is the second single and fifth track from her album, Sweetener and was released on 13 July 2018. The scene from the song was actually teased in the No Tears Left To Cry music video and Arianators (her fans) had already speculated its release. This created some controversy due to its title but the song is really about female sexual empowerment.
It talks about how women are literally everything & the universe is actually inside of us. The song was termed as an anthemic, sultry banger and was a viral hit on social media. The sound of the song is extremely unique and has a gospel-like feel as her voice is layered in the track. Her whispery voice combined with the electronic feel and upbeat rhythm makes it catchy and quite easy on the ear.

Breathin
This song is the final single on her album and was released on 18 September 2018. The singer expressed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that the song is about breathing when you’re anxious. It’s about anxiety and feeling like when you can’t get a full breath. It’s like the worst feeling in the whole world.
The song since then become a comfort song for many people who feel the same and the song makes them feel understood. The scary feeling of not being in one’s control and how just a simple thing like breathing can keep you afloat in the hard times. The song gives a message of not losing hope and taking a breather before resuming the task that made them anxious.
