Gadar 2 reactions are flooding online as Bollywood’s latest release is making waves. The film which is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha had left fans excited about it ever since its announcement. The news had left fans hopeful of having an entertaining big release to watch in theatres.
The sequel is directed by Anil Sharma and stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles as they reprise their characters from the celebrated prequel. The movie has been written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It has been produced under the banners of Zee Studios, Anil Sharma Productions and MM Movies. With cinematography by Najeeb Khan, the film also boasts of an amazing soundtrack by Mithoon and Monty Sharma.
The film also stars Manish Wadhwa as Major General Hamid Iqbal, Gaurav Chopra as Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Rawat, Luv Sinha as Farid and Simrat Kaur as Muskaan, Charanjeet’s love interest in supporting roles.
The film follows the backdrop of “Crush India” campaign in 1971. It has Deol return in his role as Tara Singh who goes missing during a skirmish on the border. It is believed that he is imprisoned in Pakistan. The sequel then explores the journey of his son Charanjeet “Jeete” Singh who decides to rescue him. Under tense situations, the father-son try to make it towards each other and it is an action-packed journey. The trailers had showcased Deol pulling off action sequences where he was seen fighting off several men at once as he takes on the task of keeping his son and his family safe, no matter what.
Among the many things that fans have been amazed about after watching the film, it’s particularly the storyline’s nostalgic nature and action that has left them impressed. With Deol reprising his famous role from the prequel, there has also been a lot of talk about how he will play the same character that was deemed to be one of the best during the release of the original movie. Bollywood fans are always looking forward to watching family entertainers and it looks like this film will give fans just that.
