The Patient Season 2 is a dicey topic to thread on given how the show has recently ended. Created by Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg for FX on Hulu, the executive producers for the series are Joel Fields, Joe Weisberg, Steve Carell, Caroline Moore, Victor Hsu and Chris Long. The production companies for the series include Joel Fields Productions, Flim Flam and FXP.
The series released its finale on October 25, 2022, and, it was a shocker for a lot of viewers. Many of the fans reacted in a somewhat bittersweet owing to the way the show ended. We saw Alan put in all his efforts to change Sam, to make him an empathetic person but, ultimately it was of no use. Changing his side to violence and threat, Alan became Sam’s last victim on the show. Killing the good therapist sent all the viewers into a frenzy with some being upset over the ending and, some calling it predictable as there was no other future for Alan, anyway.
The Patient featured Steve Carell as Alan Strauss, a therapist and Domhnall Gleeson as Sam Fortner, a serial killer and the new patient of our therapist in question. Actors Linda Emond played Candace Fortner along with Laura Niemi as Beth Strauss, Andrew Leeds as Ezra Strauss and David Alan Grier as Charlie Addison. Alex Rich was also part of the cast. The psychological thriller had a total of ten episodes, each 20 to 30 minutes long.

Will There Be The Patient Season 2?
If Alan was Sam’s last victim in the show or, in Sam’s entire life is a question that still needs to be answered. The show tried to leave us contemplating at the end and, even showed how Alan’s son Ezra puts his faith in therapy after his father’s death. Yet the question of if a serial killer ever really changes hangs over the heads of a lot of viewers.
Although the makers have made it clear that the show will remain a limited series, it does not mean that there is no hope for The Patient Season 2 to take form in the future.
