Friendly Rivalry Plot

The plot follows Yoo Je-yi, the top student at Chaehwa High School which is a school for the top 1% of students in South Korea. She is not just the top student in this school but also the most powerful student. She has a high IQ, comes from a wealthy family and is psychically attractive. While she is envied by many and is aware of her superiority, her attention is soon focused on one transfer student who soon becomes the object of her obsession.

Woo Seul-ji grew up in an orphanage out in a province and moved to Seoul when she enrolled in Chawhwa High School. There she soon becomes the target of Je-yi shows special interest in her. Je-yi’s obsession combined with her cunning nature that she uses to take advantage of her position soon helps her form a dangerous relationship with Seul-ki. But this relationship oscillates between friendship, obsession and something more.

What will be the result of this dangerous relationship and how will it change the lives of these two women and those around them? Adapted by the Webtoon Friendly Competition written by Song Chae-yoon and illustrated by Shim Jae-young, the Kdrama is set to bring us an experience unlike any other as it is soon released for fans around the world.

Friendly Rivalry Cast

Directed by Kim Tae-hee, the drama stars Lee Hyeri as Yoo Je-yi, Jung Soo-bin as Woo Seul-ki, Kang Hye-won as Ju Ye-ri, Oh Woo-ri as Choi Gyeong, Choi Young-jae as Nam Byeong-jin, Kim Tae-hoon as Yoo Tae-jun and other cast members. Lee Hye-ri is back with another intriguing role after her hit Kdrama May I Help You and she is here with her co-star and Revenge of Others star Jung Soo-bin.

Friendly Rivalry Release Date and Time

Friendly Rivalry is set to release on February 10, 2025, at 8:30 PM IST and will air four episodes each week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The show is set to release new episodes each week until March 6, 2025. The episodes will be released on U+ Mobile TV which is a subscription-based streaming service from South Korea.
