A new Netflix show is coming soon, so the streaming platform put up the Freeridge sneak peek. This show is a spin-off of another show On My Block and stars Ciara Riley Wilson, Bryana Salaz, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Peggy Blow, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Michael Solomon, Jami Alix, and Abraham Rodriguez, alongside other cast members. It is created by Jamie Dooner, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft and will consist of eight episodes.
Netflix’s description of this show reads, “Four teen friends work to reverse a curse after a peculiar old box seems to bring misfortune — and more — into their lives.” The trailer gives ample indication of how unhinged the show is going to be. With fights, some parental involvement and a cursed box, these four friends are going to have an interesting high school experience.
The streaming platform decided to give audiences a little taste of what is coming next for this friend group and it is not much except for a newcomer in town. This newcomer, Rusty, is first seen offering a ride to Gloria, Ines, Cameron and Demi. However, Gloria is highly suspicious of his presence in the town. She is convinced that there is some angle to his presence here, to which Cameron assures that it may just be the employment opportunity.
Ines decided to look into this guy and found out that this man has no social media. For the Gen Z population, this is a red flag waving in a bright blue sky. They do relent, however, that Rusty may just have a healthy mindset and not use social media as a detrimental habit. Demi is rather charmed and is truly confused about whether this guy is a stranger because he looks really familiar. Gloria is quick to point out that he has been coming to her house, and they will not be hitching a ride with him.

Gloria and Ines are sisters who have a deep rivalry, often ending in physical fights in the school parking lot. After multiple confrontations with the principal, they seem immune to any reprimands. The curse of the box seems to loom over the family like a dangling sword, and every attempt to make some sense out of the misfortune is met with a dead end.
When they go meet a person with the expertise to solve this problem, all they get is an uncalled-for comment about their general dark energy. Cameron and Demi are seemingly stuck between this sibling rivalry with no way out but through it. All four of them are stuck in this sticky situation.
This is perhaps the most we know about this show up till now. The streaming platform has released a teaser that does little to nothing to reveal any information except for indicating how chaotic this show will be.
