Four More Shots Please Season 4 Review
Prime Video’s Four More Shots Please ends this year with our four imperfect friends trying to find happiness, love and peace (again) once and for all. Whether or not they are successful is something that you have to watch on your own, but this rom-com continues to be flawed and quite immature, thanks to the characters doing things on a whim without thinking things through.
From the very immature Siddhi, who apparently doesn’t understand how to compromise or have a sane discussion with Mihir, to the egotistical Damini, who runs from anything and everything, which gets very repetitive and annoying, especially when the same things happen in every season. I feel like I watched almost similar character arcs in the last season, and somehow, we are back to watching the same thing in this season as well. It’s almost shocking.

The series stands on two verticals, and the professional and personal lives of the women clash more often than not. I found the series to be entertaining if you don’t look too deeply into anything and enjoy lighthearted shows about annoying women. The thing is, although I understand flawed characters, I don’t understand people remaining unchanging for several seasons straight. It’s quite annoying and also feels oddly disrespectful, considering these are strong, independent women. Why do they need to have such a limited understanding of real-life situations is beyond me, but I digress.
The friendships continue to be the strongest part of the series, as, regardless of how shitty they are, they can come together and stand by one another. It’s an almost impressive feat, considering how rude they are to one another and how fast they can forgive each other afterwards. I also enjoyed a few realistic situations and some discussions surrounding difficulties surrounding marriages. I think this season is also a bit more reflective than it is about rebellion and showcases the women thinking back to their past decisions and coming to terms with what they have to do next.

The unnecessary drama got to me at times, and I refuse to believe that, in this economy, people have the disposable income to wear fancy clothes every other day and go out to party at big establishments. Regardless of how unbelievable it may seem at times, Four More Shots Please Season 4 ends on a sweet note with all the women finding their version of peace, and it’s oddly a bittersweet experience.
I think the problem I have always had with Four More Shots Please is the fact that everyone other than the four protagonists feel like satellites who have nothing to do other than hovering around them. It’s a bit odd to watch these characters come and go and provide a bit of emotional turmoil for the characters before they decide to play with something else. The performances are fine, especially from Kulhari, but their characters can sometimes get on my nerves.
Final Thoughts

Four More Shots Please Season 4 is fine. Has it ever been my go-to show when I wanted to watch something funny or even remotely about the female experience? Not really. But I guess the series isn’t trying to be anything like that, and if you’ve followed the show for this long, you will find it to be a sweet end, however unmemorable.
