From Yesung’s new solo album, Sensory Flows, comes another special version of the album titled Floral Sense. This is his first solo album, and it had originally released on February 25, 2023. The Floral Sense MV was released today, February 27, 2023, along with the rest of the album, a special version of the same. There are 10 songs on the first and 13 on the second one. Yesung is from the band Super Junior, which recently released their eleventh album in two parts titled The Road: Keep on Going and The Road: Celebration in December 2022.
In this music video, we start off by seeing Yesung make his way into a room filled with electronics and a goldfish tank. Like most music videos in Korean Pop music videos, the variable aspect ratios already make their appearance. Additionally, there are many set pieces, including one where the singer is laidback and reclining on a couch. Unlike the general high-energy set pieces and dance sequences in other music videos, this set-up relies on Yesung’s charm and the general aestheticism of the flowers.

For the first verse, it is just Yesung and the band playing instruments in the background. They are all standing in a brightly lit flower-covered room, with bright spray-painted graphics painted on the walls. The cinematographer has also experimented with different lens styles, where this one shot shows the artist surrounded by gold confetti. The lens diffuses the shine from the light hitting the confetti, giving this hazy glow over the video.
Between the shots where the artist is singing, there are short montages of him interacting with the set pieces filmed by an analogue camera. The images may be grainy and of seemingly low quality, but they make their mark on viewers. Meanwhile, the lyrics of the song explore the beginnings of a wholesome relationship. Winter from aespa enters in the second verse with the pre-chorus after her verse grounding the music in something pure.

The duo work well together, and they pop well on screen together, bouncing off each other’s energies in the music video. Yesung and Winter express their love for the song’s muse in simple, heartfelt lyrics. Added with some flowers and a soothing set, this is a brilliant music video. There are major invocations of the Korean Drama OST genre in this song. It quite literally feels like the soundtrack to falling in love. Obviously, the flower motif runs strong in the video and even within the visual elements of the album. Sensory Flows includes the tracks Small Things, All Night Long, Like Us, Beautiful, HO, Bear Hug, 4 Seasons, Moment, Mermaid, and Together.
Floral Sense is a track from the special version of the album, which includes the tracks Mother, the solo version of the song from the album, along with the rest of the tracklist. It is essentially the bonus or deluxe version of the earlier released album. The lead artist on the track is from the band Super Junior and is one of thirteen members, including Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, alongside others.
