Flex X Cop Episode 4 Recap

Gang-hyun arrives at the crime scene and instructs Kyung-jin to collect the phone numbers of all visitors. I-soo questions this move, not realizing it’s a locked room case. Gang-hyun clarifies that the victim, Noh, has been dead for nearly 10 hours, highlighting I-soo’s oversight. They interrogate Noh’s junior assistant, Kwon Do-jun, initially suspecting him. However, when the gallery director arrives, I-soo changes his mind, observing her lack of concern for Noh’s death.

The gallery director reveals a prior incident where an unknown woman splashed red paint on Noh’s paintings. Suspecting her involvement, Gang-hyun and I-soo visit Noh’s wife to inform her of his death. Surprisingly, she appears indifferent, claiming she was with her boyfriend and had no motive to kill her husband. With four potential suspects, they aim to solve the case swiftly.

The autopsy report indicates hesitation in the killer’s actions, with two initial stabs from behind and a fatal stab from the front. Jun-young follows Jin-kyu, Noh’s wife’s boyfriend, discovering his involvement with another woman and plans for a joint business. The investigation reveals that Jin-kyu demanded 2 billion won, equivalent to Noh’s insurance value, from Noh’s wife. Simultaneously, Gang-hyun and I-soo interview the mysterious woman from the sauna who destroyed Noh’s work due to a personal vendetta.

I-soo purchases the vandalized artwork and takes it to his new home, which is opposite Gang-hyun’s residence. Their conversation reveals I-soo’s past in the house with his late mother and his discovery of being an heir to the Hansu Group after her tragic death. While setting up the artwork, I-soo notices a fallen piece revealing Do-jun’s signature beneath. Gang-hyun learns about Do-jun’s canceled study plans abroad due to plagiarism and Kyung-jin identifies the woman’s scarf on CCTV as Do-jun’s purchase. When I-soo confronts Do-jun, he attacks I-soo from behind, leading to a cliffhanger.
