Fire Force Season 3 Episode 11 Recap

In this episode, chaos breaks out when a mysterious pillar suddenly emerges from the ocean, followed closely by the appearance of a massive robot-like creature making its way toward the city. The members of Company 8 watch the unfolding crisis on television, and Shinra urges Captain Obi to let him intervene. Although hesitant at first, Obi ultimately agrees, realising Shinra might be their best chance at stopping the mechanical threat.
Meanwhile, Fire Force Company 2 arrives on the scene, accompanied by Director Oguru and Kurono. Kurono expresses his reluctance to be there but admits he has no choice due to the director’s orders. He boldly declares that if the robot makes it ashore, he’ll destroy everything in his path, and Oguru supports that plan. Despite their efforts, none of Company 2’s weapons proved effective against the enemy.

In a critical moment, Juggernaut prepares to fire a cannon at the creature, but Shinra intercepts the attack and takes the hit himself to prevent a potential catastrophe. Kurono then dives into the sea to rescue him. It’s here that the true danger is revealed: the pillar functions as a seal over an underwater volcano. Destroying it would release the magma below, causing Tokyo’s complete destruction.
After rescuing Shinra, Kurono unleashes his full strength. However, amidst the chaos, a mysterious figure aligned with the Evangelist manages to reach Shinra and make contact with him.
Fire Force Season 3 Episode 12 Review

This episode starts with Faerie battling it out with Sho and Arrow, where he gets confused as to why they are attacking him. But soon, things become clear to Faerie, and he also fights them in a serious manner. Both Sho and Arrow tried their best to defeat Faerie, but he was just a very strong opponent. On the other hand, we see Inca in great spirits, which may be because of the fact that she might die soon. She is very hopeful for the future and even claims that something interesting is going to happen soon.
In this episode, we get a look at the very powerful abilities of Faerie as he can make his body transparent. On top of that, his power can directly control and manipulate gravity with the help of an Adolla burst. When Sho confusedly asks whether Faerie can use an Adolla burst or not, Faerie claims that pillars are not the only ones who can use an Adolla burst. Here, Shinra finally gets saved but remains unconscious.

However, the most interesting aspect of this episode is when Yona starts to talk about a past that we have never seen before. He tells how things were during the first great cataclysm. Through him, we also get to know how the new religion of Amaterasu was established in detail. After that, we see the pillar getting lit with the flame of Adolla. Shinra could immediately sense an Adolla link, and that too with Inca.
The ending was definitely the most interesting aspect of this episode, where we got to see Shinra travel to the past before the great cataclysm. But after that, what happened to Shinra was very unexpected.
Verdict

I liked the way this season ended, as it was both surprising and, at the same time, made me anticipate the next season. Let’s hope we will get to see the end soon because waiting for answers will be unbearable.
