Fatal Seduction Season 3 Review
Another year, another shocking season of Nandi, Jacob and Leonard behaving absolutely despicably and going around causing murders. The season showcases the men fighting over Nandi, as Jacob’s fiancée dies, or is murdered, by someone. Of course, Nandi is in the wrong place at the wrong time, making us wonder who could’ve killed Kim. There are, of course, a ton of suspects, but who is the actual culprit?
Before long, other people’s obsessions start to come to light, and you soon realise that Fatal Attraction thinks that most adults don’t have any control over themselves and, somehow, everyone is sex crazed. This season, things get complicated for the sake of getting complicated and to push Nandi and Jacob into their toxic relationship once again. A new murder rocks all of the characters, and somehow, the inevitable happens. A new character comes out of the woodwork to become the main antagonist, leaving everyone to scramble to save themselves before it’s too late.
The problem with Fatal Seduction is that it’s far too reductive and uninteresting for us to remotely believe in its worldbuilding. The series follows the same tried and tested path of pushing this fantastical idea that every human being who comes into contact with one another somehow wants to sleep with each other, and the storyline pans out from there.
The season finally ends the saga, this toxic push and pull between Jacob and Nandi that has been driving three seasons. While it’s interesting to watch their pull and passion for each other, the third season goes off the rails, including random characters and joining them with one another without rhyme or reason. Fans of the show will find themselves in familiar territory, though, as it’s nothing new for the series. However, it’s a little hard to believe people are just shooting one another so easily. Well, at least there isn’t an amnesia angle this time.

The season once again follows similar beats; twists are added and removed from one episode to the next, keeping us invested in the rapidly progressing story while not dwelling on anything for too long. Although I will say that, as a guilty pleasure, this one has turned into somewhat of a welcome watch and, having become familiar with the characters’ antics, you kind of expect these silly story points and stupid explanations. Or maybe this is what Stockholm syndrome feels like.
The investigative structure is done well in Fatal Seduction Season 3, exploring crimes of passion and the complexities of jealousy in relationships. The way each of these flawed characters finds themselves back to one another despite knowing how toxic they are for each other makes you wonder, albeit that feeling is short-lived, thanks to yet another sensual scene that is very uncomfortable and unnecessary at times.

Final Thoughts
In the end, as mentioned earlier, this one is for seasoned viewers who know what choosing to watch Fatal Seduction entails. It’s fun and forgettable, and watching Nandi, a grown woman with a career and responsibilities, act like a school child is not only enraging, it’s somehow amusing in an odd way. Overall, this one’s just like the other seasons and finishes off the saga well enough.
