Farzi: Everything About the Shahid Kapoor Starrer Indian Series; Cast, Release Date, Trailer and More

The countdown for the upcoming Prime Video original series, Farzi, has begun, with not too many days remaining to open the gates to this thrilling Hindi ride. Created and directed by Raj and DK, the series has also been written by Sita R Menon and Suman Kumara and produced by D2R Films. A cat and mouse chases is about to ensue between the two leading opposite forces, who may or may not be too different from each other after all.

The Indian filmmaking duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. (Raj and DK) have previously worked on projects like the spy thriller show The Family Man and movies like Go Goa Gone, A Gentleman, Shor in the City and more. Additionally, they’ve also signed on for the Indian edition of Citadel, alongside the American directors well-known for the contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Russo Brothers.

With less than a week left for the release date of the series, lets dig into what this show is adding to the Indian palette of original makings.

The Hindi-language crime drama sees the digital debut of Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, whose characters will clash heads in the storyline. Additionally, the series is also set to welcome Raashi Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Zakir Hussain, Amol Palekar, Bhuvan Arora, Kubbra Sait and Regina Cassandra to its amazing cast panel.

Farzi Plot/ Storyline

Centred around the middle-class societal hierarchy, Kapoor’s character, Sunny is a small-time artist who gets sucked into the world of counterfeit money and seeks to destabilise the status quo. With the perfect fake currency note in hand, he hopes to rule a new establishment, but eventually has to face off against Michael (Sethupathi), a task force officer who wants to put an end to these practices. With both charging ahead with at par calibres, there’s no way of knowing who’ll win the race.
