As the reports suggesting, Farhan Akhtar has bagged an international project with Marvel Studios and is currently in Bangkok.
This piece of news has come as a shock to many as Farhan Akhtar, being a Bollywood actor, roping a character with the Marvel Studios is big news. However, the Karthik Calling Karthik actor has mostly kept it hush-hush till now.
If media reports are to be believed, Farhan Akhtar has already left Mumbai to proceed with the shootings in Bangkok.
A close source revealed, “Farhan is currently stationed in Bangkok, along with an International cast and crew, for the shoot of a project with Marvel Studios, who are known to be one of the biggest film studios worldwide.”
“All other details of the project are strictly under wraps,” the source further shared with the media.
As per speculations, Marvel Studios is gearing up for shooting Ms Marvel in Bangkok. Now, will our Bollywood actor feature in that or not is unclear. Let’s wait for the official announcement to come.
Marvel Studios is one of our favourites because of its Marvel Cinematic Universe of superheroes and the TV shows and movies that it comes up with. The studio finished airing WandaVision and is currently in the midst of airing The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Additionally, it will release Loki and Black Widow real soon, and we cannot just wait any longer to experience it.
On the other hand, the Rock On! actor is a man of many talents. He can sing, write, play instruments, recite verses, and of course, he is a very talented and versatile actor.
Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Toofan is yet to release and in the movie, he plays a boxer’s role. The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and it features an ensemble cast, including Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, and Hussain Dalal.
Being a very hardworking actor, Farhan shared his experience being on the sets of Toofan by taking it to his Instagram account. He wrote, “I hated drills. To wake up at 5am and think about that monster of a drill session waiting for me was, at times, good enough reason to make some random excuse and just stay in bed..!! But @drewnealpt got me to respect the discipline and with time I realised how much it helped in evolving my overall skills as a boxer. To quote the legendary Cus D’amato “Discipline is doing what you hate but doing it like you love it.”
This is the second project after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag where we can see Farhan and Mehra working together. In an interview, Omprakash Mehra said, “So, in a way, the lockdown was liberating for me. I was working on it for 20 hours a day without any disturbances. We managed to establish an editing line with one of my editors, and the same with sound. This period also gave me space and time to finish other scripts.”
Farhan was last seen in Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, co-starring with Priyanka Chopra, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. We cannot wait to watch Farhan Akhtar working in Hollywood with Marvel Studios.
