The threequel of Fantastic Beasts is officially titled ‘Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore’. It is one of the much-anticipated Harry Potter prequel films. Along with the title, the makers also revealed the release date for next year.
Fantastic Beasts 3 stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Dumbledore and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald. The rest of the star cast includes Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston and Jessica Williams.
The official social media accounts of the film revealed the titled Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore with a motion title poster. The film is all set to release on April 15, 2022. David Yates has helmed the film based on the story by JK Rowling.
In the reply section of the announcement tweet, fans have shared mixed reactions. A few happy fans have tweeted, ‘I’VE BEEN WAITING’. Another wrote, ‘interesting title, I’m curious to see how Mads Mickelson does as Grindelwald’. While some fans are disappointed as Johnny Depp won’t play Grindelwald anymore.
‘Nope, would have loved to see it if you hadn’t fired Johnny Depp. He’s the victim, not the abuser. WB would rather keep the abuser than the victim. Harry Potter has really been ruined. The abuser is kept and the victim is fired and hushed out. Typical’, tweeted a Twitter user. Another wrote, ‘I know it’s something to celebrate but personally this post made me sad instead. I still can’t believe that you took Johnny Depp out so I highly doubt I’ll be watching this movie. Mads is a great actor and I love him but this is not right at all.’

Meanwhile, after losing the libel suit against The Sun, Johnny was fired. The actor had shared in a statement, “I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request.”
