Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 10 Review: Science Wars

Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 10 Review: The new episode is filled with exciting plot points that provide a better understanding of the story to the audience and remain entertaining as usual. It premiered on June 8, 2023.

Dr Stone Season 3 Overview

Dr Stone (ドクターストーン) is an animation series based on the manga of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. After a blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world—turning every single human into stone, humanity goes back in time. Years of civilisation have disappeared, and the only hope to rebuild it is in the hands of a brilliant scientist, Senku.

From studios of TMS Entertainment, the show is produced by TOHO Animation, Shueisha and 8PAN. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

The new episode is as exciting as the last one. The story has made a considerable amount of progression, and various other characters have developed as well. The audience finally has the answer to the long-awaited question of where the green bean originated from and how everyone on Earth turned it into stone. However, the plot does not end there, as Senku and his friends have another major objective to achieve, and that is to free everyone who were petrified.

However, even though the story is getting a lot more intense than before, it manages to be as interesting and entertaining as ever. The plot takes a major turn after everyone except Senku and a few others turned into stone on the ship. Many new characters have also been introduced, which adds substance to the story greatly. Moreover, each character has their own individual arc that elevates the storytelling process.

Many characters were included in the story in the new episode, which added value to the script. However, the focal point of the episode is Asagari. For a long time, he became merely a side character with an impeccable comic timing. Other than that, his purpose in the series became vague, but this time, he showcased his mentalist capabilities at full potential and left the audience in awe. It was not just a performative act, but it, in fact contributed to the main aspect of the storyline.

The series’ emphasis on science and painstaking attention to detail is among its most outstanding features. The episode is chock-full of brilliant ideas and rational explanations from science, which makes the show both amusing and educational. The anime displays the miracles of human ingenuity through basic tools and methods as well as cutting-edge technology developments. The show’s consistent storyline on the value of science and the power of knowledge acts as a continuing source of inspiration.

However, the pace of the plot might be a drawback for some of the audience who expect grand action sequences. Even though it is undeniably captivating, the lack of immediate gratification might be unappealing to some. But the episodes remain exciting every week, providing a unique plot and characters that force us to invest in the story.
