Will There Be Divorce Attorney Shin Season 2?
In the last episode of the series, we saw that Shin Sung-han puts up a strong fight to get the parental right over his nephew Gi-yeong, terminated. During the second trial, when Seo Jeong-guk agrees to testify for the case, that’s when Sung-han finds his chance to prove how his sister’s lawyer, Park Yu-seok deliberately leaked her medical record to help the opposite party.

Given that he even received a job at Jeong-guk’s law firm and might have even gotten some monetary benefits, it all comes down under the breach of law & he could be suspended & fined for it. While Yu-seok refused everything but Jeong-guk’s testimony puts everything in front of & after looking at Gi-yeong’s current situation, with degrading mental health, the court puts out the verdict in Sung-han’s favour.
He gives him full custody with limited rights to the father, like facilitated visits on Guardian’s approval. Thus, Shin Sung-han finally wins the custody of his nephew, Gi-yeong. Meanwhile, the other characters also found resolution in their stories with Lee Seo-jin, the first client, also going back to her Radio show job & standing tall against the haters.
Hyeong-geun finally got separated from his wife Ji-eun, who cheated on him & started a new family with another man. But he found a connection with the noodle shop owner, So-yeon & they slowly get to know each other. In the last episode, she tells him that she plans to close the shop & take a long vacation in Europe as a break. While he is not sure at first but eventually decides to go with her after Gi-yeong’s trial goes well. Similarly, Jeong-sik also can be free from his guilt & decides to dote his time to caring for Gi-yeong.

Almost all the characters had their happy and deserving ending except for Ma Geum-hui who is seen gearing up for her divorce case at last, after considering everything over it. With Sung-han being her lawyer for the same, does that mean there’s a possibility that we will see more of it & some other interesting cases in another season?
Well, the most probable answer is no! The ending doesn’t really leave anything else that can be continued for another reason. More or less all the key plots were tied off by the end and the main plot exposing unfair practices in Ju-hwa’s case, along with making sure Gi-yeong is in a safe and happy environment is completely met with.
As of now, no such official announcements from the creators or Netflix has been reported yet about the renewal. While the chances are very slim, if it does happen, we can expect to see the recent developments in their lives. Like Sung-han dealing with his teenage nephew & solving daily issues with his friends who know nothing better about raising kids.

Maybe even a love interest in Sung-han as well as Jeong-sik’s life and some new interesting cases that are relevant to contemporary times. Looking at the reception of the show, it can even continue as a slice-of-life drama without many turns & twists in the story.
