Die Hart The Movie Ending Explained
In the film, after having an emotional outburst on a TV show, Kevin Hart is being boycotted by the people he had worked with and any new work prospects also change their direction. Strangely, an action movie director Claude Van De Velde, wants to meet Hart and even he is excited to hear that and ends up meeting at a party.
He gets to know that the director is making an action movie and wants to cast him. To bag the role and show his skills as a serious, gritty actor, Hart ends up enrolling in Ron Wilcox’s action school where many famous action stars have learnt. It is located in the middle of the woods and as soon as he reaches there, he finds a fight scene out of a movie. Thinking it’s just acting he steps in, trying to be the main character but gets hit by a bat on the head.

On waking up, he is welcomed by Coach Ron, who shows him around the place, takes his cell phone and asks him to stay there. In dilapidated conditions, Hart is tested for his action skills like saving his own life-size figurine from fire. During this test, he barely saves the figurine and himself out of the burning set but also finds a new colleague, who has come to learn.
Jordan is a sitcom star, who is hoping to bag a big role and thus training with coach Ron. They are both put in the same room and trained together for various stunts, like fighting and tackling and during one session, Hart ends up stabbing her arm. Looking at the way they are being trained, Kevin becomes suspicious of the coach and believes that what he saw on the first day might be true and Ron might have actually killed someone.
Frightened that he might actually die at this point, he tries to gather evidence about Coach Ron but isn’t able to find anything, other that an initial necklace which says RBG and believes it belongs to the dead person, Rodrigo. During another training session where they are acting in front of a green screen and hanging with wires – it gets revealed that the whole thing is actually a set and everything is being recorded by director Claude.

Everyone except Kevin is acting their part, while he is trying to find ways to get out of there. Josh Hartnett also comes for a cameo and takes part in a training exercise with guns. Afraid that the gun has actual pellets, Hart runs away and finds a loner old man working on his truck. Although they have a rough interaction, he lets him use the phone where Hart gets to know about a small voice acting role in a movie, from his agent.
Not wanting to go back to that, he decides to complete his training and goes back to find them shooting his colleague Jordan, but it turns out to be just practice. Josh also bids them goodbye and is about to leave when the same men from earlier, who hit the bat on Hart’s head shoot away Josh’s car and starts open firing on their building.
The other actors get scared as they reveal that it’s not part of the film and expose everything to Hart by telling him what has been going on. Coach Ron confesses to actually killing Rodrigo while dealing drugs and the people with guns are here to take revenge. This is the moment when Kevin Hart steps up and sends Coach Ron to apologise with the RBG necklace and ends up using his training skills to fight off the guys.
In the end, Jordan passes out and Hart comes running to her after taking on the main guy. As he is seen being emotional and calling on Jordan to wake up, the director calls cut and it again turns out to be a film scene. Following that everything that has been recorded is shown to the prospective distributor and he loves the film and consequently so does the public. But the actual limelight instead gets taken by the squirrel who helps Kevin to take on the main guy.
