Destined With You Episode 1 Preview: Directed by Nam Ki-hoon and written by Noh Ji-sul, this fantasy-romance Korean series (이 연애는 불가항력) stars Rowoon, Jo Bo-ah, Ha Jun, and Yura in lead roles.
The drama follows civil servant Lee Hong-jo, a woman who is plagued by complaints from her workplace but still manages to try her best. She unexpectedly comes across an old wooden box which contains many secrets, one of which brings her face-to-face with ace lawyer Jang Shin-yu. Although he is well-liked by all at his job and is noticed by everyone wherever he goes, he suffers from a mysterious illness that runs throughout his family for generations and which, presently, is getting progressively worse for him. Thus, when Hong-jo and Shin-yu realise that she holds the key to his life, a romance brews between them.
Jo Bo-ah was last seen in 2023’s Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as Nam Ji-ah, while Rowoon was last seen in 2022’s Tomorrow as Choi Joon-woong. Meanwhile, Ha Jun was last seen in Missing: The Other Side Season 2 as Shin Joon-ho and Yura’s previous role was in Chae Yoo-jin in Forecasting Love and Weather. Destined With You takes over jTBC’s Wednesday-Thursday 10.30 PM timeslot previously occupied by Miraculous Brothers.
