– Comicstaan Season 3 Review Does Not Contain Spoilers –
2022 comes with another season of jokes and roasts and some racy topics that will make you step back and take note. With 8 more episodes and a whole host of interesting and spunky new talents to make our bellies ache, Comicstaan season 3 is a fun and entertaining comedy reality show that will keep you occupied and thoroughly engrossed.
Like previous seasons, the third iteration follows the hunt to find the best of the best in the new-age comedy scene, and every episode tackles a common theme that all the contestants must follow and give their own twist to.

The contestants are coached by a new comic in every episode, who guides them through the dos and don’ts and help them understand the nuances of the topic. Some of the topics that Comicstaan season 3 follows include roast comedy (Rohan Joshi), topical comedy (Sapan Verma) and improv (Aadar Malik), among others.
Every episode comes with its own challenges, but the general light and frothy vibe of every episode is infectious and Comicstaaan shines thanks to this overall vibe. The jokes range from good to bad, the contestants get different feedback and have good and bad moments, but overall, the episodes are a delight to watch and there’s something in each one of them.
Season 3 judges include Kenny Sebastian, Sumukhi Suresh, Zakir Khan and Neeti Palta, who are regulars on the comedy circuit and have a very nice rapport going with the hosts and mentors and that back and forth among them is also quite delicious to watch. It’s like old friends getting together and pulling each other’s legs.

For those of you who like watching up-and-coming comedians giving it their best and coming out with flying colours, this is for you. The series is funny and will make you roll will laughter. At other times, you relate to these new comedians’ vulnerability on the stage. It’s a nice mix of different comedy flavours that keeps you entertained and occupied.
First-time host Kusha Kapila and series regular Abish Mathew do a great job and champ through the various (light-hearted) insults directed at them. Kapila has a charm that works in her favour, and although she’s not a comedian per se, she’s sassy enough to keep things going. Mathew was quite subdued this season, I felt, but the two make a good pair and keep things going.
Summing Up: Comicstaan Season 3

Comicstaan Season 3 kept me laughing for a majority of its runtime and had some very interesting takes on the different topics presented. The contestants are promising, with all of them being better at some things in which they shine.
If you love Indian comedy and want to watch something new and interesting, this is a good bet. For those who have watched the previous seasons, you won’t be disappointed this time around as well.
Comicstaan is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
