Castaway Diva Episode 8 Recap
When on the way to Mok-ha, Woo-hak asks about their past and finds out how Bong-wan was transferred after the incident while Woo-hak was in the hospital. Their mother told him that she would find a way to escape and left behind an address for him to find her, which Bo-geol made use of a year after Mok-ha’s disappearance.
This way, the mother-son duo reunited and Bo-geol began a new life which was filled with happiness and a longing for Mok-ha. Upon reaching their destination, Woo-hak is against taking Mok-ha back to Seoul while Bo-geol is adamant about bringing her dreams to life. With these thoughts, the two begin their search for Mok-ha separately and Bo-geol finds her first.
However, upon seeing Mok-ha worried for the safety of the brothers he changes his mind and tells her to be selfish and make her dreams come true. Bo-geol tells Mok-ha to return with them and tells her that she can save them by becoming popular and earning enough money to keep Bong-wan away from them. He then asks for her first autograph and tells her to become famous.

They then begin to make their way back but Woo-hak changes their destination to the camping site they went to as kids and also calls their parents to join them. Woo-hak finally makes Bo-geol’s past regrets vanish as he brings Mok-ha as part of their family and gives her the happy times that the Kang brothers once shared.
However, Woo-hak cannot help but notice the unsaid feeling lingering around the two and asks them about the same. While Mok-ha denies it, Bo-geol does not shy away and says that he does have feelings for her which is what kept him looking for her for 15 years. While Woo-hak notices their feelings, their parents see something in Woo-hak’s eyes when he looks at Mok-ha.
The next day, Mok-ha returns home to find Ran-joo missing and understands that she has messed things up with her idol. Comparing this situation with the storm that took over the island, she prepares to clear the mess and lifts her spirits again. But, she isn’t the only one facing a storm as Bong-wan’s fear leaves Ki-ho experiencing nightmares that he has decided to face on his own.
The next day, the brothers’ parents ask Woo-hak about his feelings towards Mok-ha which he denies as he only had momentary thoughts when he thought of himself to be Ki-ho. Later, he sees Mok-ha leaving in search of Ran-joo and accompanies her on her mission, unaware that Bo-geol has made his way to Chunsam Island.

Mok-ha then meets President Hwang to know about Ran-joo’s whereabouts but gets nothing, however, she does find out that Ran-joo is about to reach her 20 million album sales goal soon. She also finds out that many agencies are trying to recruit her as a talent, including Seo-jun and President Hwang.
Elsewhere, Ran-joo is accompanying her mother who has lost her memories and speaks to her about her inner turmoil. While she gets the answers that she wants, she faces a mother who calls herself Yoon Ran-joo. Later, her mother’s caretaker tells her how her mother is affected by the news she sees on the internet about Ran-joo.
At the island, Bo-geol arrives and meets the islanders who were friends with his father so that information about him reaches his father. While he continues to lure his father, Mok-ha continues her search for Ran-joo and arrives at RJ Entertainment where Seo-jun presents his offer to her. She refuses the deal as helping Ran-joo reach 20 million album sales is her top priority.

Meanwhile, Ran-joo thinks about contacting Mok-ha but upon turning on her phone, all she finds is messages from people asking for Mok-ha. On the other hand, Bo-geol’s plans fail as his father passes on the message that he is aware of what he is trying to do. With no way left, he begins looking for alternate options through the law.
Castaway Diva Episode 8 Ending
The next day, a radio station plays the clip from 15 years back when Mok-ha got to talk to Ran-joo through the show. As embarrassment makes Mok-ha red in the presence of Woo-hak, she thinks of a way to get in touch with Ran-joo. She uses Woo-hak’s phone to contact her but Ran-joo’s mother picks up the call.
Having been listening to the radio show, she asks for Mok-ha’s address and leaves to meet “her” fan, unaware of her worried daughter that she has left behind. She soon reaches the Kang family house and introduces herself as Yoon Ran-joo which leaves Mok-ha and the Kang parents speechless.

Right then a call from Ran-joo arrives on her mother’s phone and Mok-ha picks it up to let her know of what has happened. Elsewhere, Woo-hak gets a call from Yong-ju who asks for Mok-ha information. Woo-hak arrives to hear information about Dae-woong visiting the place where Bong-wan works before his accident and gets suspicious.
On the other hand, Ran-joo arrives and is relieved to see her mother safe; but she is not ready to forgive Mok-ha. She then pulls out her phone and calls Seo-jun to tell him that she will terminate her contract the next day, giving up on the fight that she had once hoped to win. Mok-ha is shocked by this but Ran-joo is adamant about her decision.
The storm continues to get bigger as elsewhere, Bo-geol arrives at Bong-wan’s house to meet her father.

Castaway Diva Episode 8 Review
Another exciting weekend has brought this show to an all-new high as the plot thickens with new challenges for everyone. As the actors continue to give wonderful performances, the plot is bringing emotional turmoil to viewers across the globe who now have to wait another week for more excitement.
Meanwhile, going from whales to memory from the deserted island, Park Eun-bin is bringing another huge spread to the table, making this another masterpiece we go to for comfort. However, the way trauma of abuse and betrayal shown by the other characters is stirring me up, I can see the equal effort given to each character on this show.
Altogether, I have been given another wonderful weekend by this show making me feel fulfilled and in need of more episodes. This is a magic that this show has kept since episode 1 and I only wish for it to stay until the end. Finally, the Mok-ha Bo-geol ship is sailing strong, but it looks like the Mok-ha Ran-joo ship is stronger.
