Burning Betrayal Ending Explained
Upon breaking off her wedding with Caio, Babi also finds out that he’s been meddling with the wrong crowd and has disrupted the terms of their official agreement. In the meantime, Thiago, her best friend, who also works with her at the same firm, comes forward to her aid, and also confesses his feelings for her. She, however, feels drawn towards Marco, the Judge heading the lawsuit against Caio, who also happens to be the same man in his dreams.
Following her fantasies, Babi can’t help but feel intrigued by Marco’s presence and the two end up getting closer to each other once she joins a bike club that surprisingly also has Marco as its mysterious member. Thiago, however, warns Babi about him and advises her not to get involved with him. Yet she ends up hanging out with him a few times, also resulting in a dinner date at Marco’s place. Although the romantic evening goes exactly the way they’d both hoped for it to, it ends on a turbulent note with them getting ambushed by a woman, who refers to herself as Marco’s wife and calls Babi all kinds of things.

Babi had previously also noticed a baby room in the house, and things fall into place. Assuming that he’d been lying to her all along and playing her, Babi runs out of Marco’s house, gets on her bike and races forth on the road. Before actually reaching her destination, she gets into an unprecedented accident, which later, she presumes to be a premeditated plan of action as her gut feeling tells her. With her now at the hospital, both Thiago and Marco visit her, but she places her faith in her best friend and doesn’t pay heed to Marco’s words at all.

Later, Marco appoints his assistant to plant a wire tap on someone (later revealed to be Caio, in cahoots with Thiago), and though her intentions stay clear from the beginning about keeping an eye on Babi, we can also sense that he was just trying to protect her. Once all recovered, Marco again reaches out to her and comes clean about his familial situation.

He informs her that his wife had long been struggling with her mental problems, but had never mentioned them to Marco. Although they initially lived happily after getting married, as soon as they had their daughter, who also needs constant medial support, his wife condition worsened and she even tried to take her daughter away, further putting her in danger away from medical attention.
He decided to cut ties with her and was just a few steps away from finalising the divorce with her. Deciding to be with Babi, he outs his secret, revealing that he’d always been in the right. Eventually, other darker secrets surface as she too decides to share the proof and evidence incriminating Caio of his crimes and fraud to Marco.

She shares this detail with Thiago, who plans on going with her, but once together in the car, he switches lanes and takes her elsewhere while threatening her at gun-point. Moreover, he was the one who’d been stalking her all this time, and then even pretended to like her to distract her. Plus, the bike accident was also his doing.
She tries to inform Marco, but Thiago cuts her off. Between all these fast-paced events coming up one after the other, it’s also revealed that it was actually Thiago who’d been leading the fraudulent operation and Caio was in cahoots with him. They’d just wanted to make more money but ended up convening with criminals and now since Babi was ready to pull up with hard evidence, Thiago had to stop her by any means necessary.

He drags her to a remote location that leads them into the woods, where Caio had already stationed himself before their arrival and was digging up a grave for Babi to be buried alive. Thiago pushes her to get in, but she tries to get away while Caio continuously apologises to her for his doings. In the crossfire, Thiago ends up shooting Caio, and just as he’s about to kill Babi too, Marco arrives there and rescues her. However, he, too, gets shot in the process and in the meantime the police also get there and shoot at Thiago, saving the other two.
Marco is saved as he’s taken in for medical care. Babi reunites with him and they both come together as parents of his daughter, while Babi’s friend Paty also finally claims to have settled down with the same guard at Caio’s building, whom she’d tried to distract while Babi created a mess inside Caio’s apartment. But he’s not the only one she’s with. She ends up being in a polyamorous relationship with yet another man at the same time, and all three of them seem to be enjoying themselves together.
