Are BTS, TXT and ENHYPEN Going To Get Their Own Webtoons?

According to the 2021 HYBE Briefing with the Community held on November 4th, certain interesting plans have been announced regarding the fan favourite boy bands- BTS, TXT and ENHYPEN. HYBE has unveiled plans of initiating business based on their own original stories that will be a new form of intellectual property owned by the company along with the original stories being planned and developed by the company too.

With the focus to expand artist-based content not only music-based but stories based too for media flexibility, the company has picked up three popular K-pop bands for this developing project. BTS, TXT and ENHYPEN are roped in the project where HYBE will cast the artists in these stories by creating exclusive webtoons, web novels and collaborative animations based on them.

HYBE has already announced the four original stories that will be released as webtoons and web novels in 2022. They are tired “7Fates: CHAKHO” with BTS, “THE STAR SEEKERS” with TXT,” “DARK MOON” with ENHYPEN,” and “Crimson Heart.” The first three projects are scheduled to release in January 2022 in collaboration with Naver Webtoon. It will be available in both webtoon and web novel formats.

BTS

“7Fates: CHAKHO” is going to be an urban fantasy story inspired by Joseon Dynasty’s tiger-hunting officers called chakhogapsa. It is going to have a dystopian taste to it being set in a city in the near future and telling the story of seven boys (BTS) who are tied together by fate.

TXT

“THE STAR SEEKERS” is going to be a fantasy tale about K-pop idol boys (TXT) who live in a world where magic and reality are able to coexist. They fight against the secret about the downfall of the world. Meanwhile, fantastical elements like imaginary animals and magical performances are going to be mixed with the stories.

This project will release on January 17, 2022.

ENHYPEN

“DARK MOON” is going to be a high school romance story about vampire boys (ENHYPEN) who come across a girl with a secret. The young lives, friendship and secrets of the vampire boys will deviate from the usual high school romance genre and provide a rather fun novel for the readers.

This one is divided into several series, with the first being “DARK MOON: The Blood Altar.” It will be released on January 16, 2022.

It is going to be exciting to see HYBE bring more of these interesting projects!
