BTS’ J-hope Dives Into Nostalgia at the 2022 Proof Exhibition in Tokyo

The latest Bangtan Bomb video released on December 18, 2022, shares a glimpse at BTS’ J-hope visiting the 2022 Proof Exhibition in Tokyo. Doing his rounds at the exhibition, he catches the visuals of his group members and lets us in on his personal and candid remarks. Taking a light-hearted dig at the youngest member Jungkook, he jokes about how he doesn’t listen to him, but surely is handsome. Proudly strutting around, his eyes glisten with adoration and love for the other members.

He moves on to Jin’s (the eldest) pictorial and teases him as the “youngest member” and playfully opens up about ‘raising the kids’. Coming across various memorable BTS signatures, he digs into the melodious lyrics of their best songs, and then switches floors. Not having brought along a camera, he goes on to snap pictures of the group’s trademark symbol of the Spring Day music video, i.e. the barren tree with a pair of shoes dangling from it, with his mobile phone.

Walking through the corridors of the exhibition as a fan himself, he marvels at the whole collection of neon signs depicting the past nine years of BTS’ trajectory, highlighting some of their most prominent old releases like No More Dream, 2 Cool 4 Skool, O!RUL8,2? and more. Later, he comes across the emblematic yellow sofa from the Boy With Luv music video and discusses how fun it was to promote that particular title track.

Reminiscing the good old memories of the jacket photo, he moves on to the next stop. Laying eyes, yet again, on pictures from their older eras, he praises all the members – RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook, and believes that they looked the prettiest during Boy With Luv promotions. Then comes the Wings‘ fallen angel statue seen in the septet’s Blood, Sweat and Tears music video and he can’t stop himself from getting a picture clicked with it as well.

Channelling his dance leader persona, he also monitored their past choreography videos and was taken over by the group’s general aura and cuteness, and even indulges in an impromptu performance. He sends off a message to the fans visiting the exhibition to check out their dance videos because they put in a lot of hard work to accomplish the task at hand. Signing off a placard, he urges the BTS Army to enjoy their history with them.

And just like that, visiting the Proof Exhibition in Japan, during his visit to Osaka, helped J-hope relive endless old memories, reminding him of their past activities, which he also believes to be the most special aspect of the exhibition. Enjoying his time off, this sojourn definitely left a huge impact on him, just as much he hopes for it to do the same for the fans. Check out the exhibition’s Instagram profile here.
